Excellent eclectic food!

The theme this week is Thai. We had a wonderful and interesting meal! I had roast pork with shredded celery, eggplant and a black bean sauce. It was amazing! The place is a bit pricey but the food is wonderful. Worth it!

Salt offers wonderful food, and a personal touch. Be prepared for a tiny space and a limited menu. You can basically see your food being prepared. Suzanne changes the menu often, and hours are limited too -- so check out the website or call to get details, and make a reservation. The food is always fresh and local, and creative.... More

This was our first (but definitely not last) time dining at Salt. We opted for the seven course tasting dinner and it was really special. We enjoyed the balance of flavors that Chef Suzanne Podhaizer created. It's also a treat to have the chef/owner serve and explain each course. Any question we had about the prep or ingredients was answered... More

We had amazing appetizers here (a three-bean salad and a chilled cucumber soup), and then entrees that were only average (rabbit and a "freeform lasagna," which had delicious bechamel and cheese but slightly bitter eggplant and no distinctive flavors). Desserts were fine but nothing to write home about: panna cotta was a bit too gelatinous; the classic flourless chocolate cake... More

Dined at the quaint restaurant, ready for an exceptional meal. What was served was an overpriced (compared to four other restaurants in the general area) entrée that was disappointing visually and texturally. The "risotto" was rice, lacking the creamy texture and signs of love that are required. Some were independent kernels, floating in a broth which I suppose was meant... More

Where do I start....... A six hour braised veal was raw, the carrots were undercooked, the dessert tasteless and flat. Very disappointed, will never return

Wonderful food, cant say enough about it! Wanted to order everything!! Definitely make reservations, as the restaurant is very small. The menu changes every 3 weeks. Would go all the time but I live in MA... The only reason I rated the atmosphere a "3" is because my husband and I were the only people there at the time. BYOB... More

We were warned that reservations were absolutely required to ensure getting a table for dinner at Salt. But the evening we were there, half the tables were empty. But, play it safe and get a reservation. The food is worth it. Our party of four ordered two veal breast dishes and two pork shoulder dishes. Everything was prepared perfectly. Since... More

We went on our "babymoon" for a trip to Vermont. This restaurant was perfect. Each dish was better than the next. It is very small, and very intimate. Highly recommended to couples looking for a date night.

Excellent meal. Very small so I would make sure u have a reservation. Wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Menu changes every 3 wks. We had the "food from the wild" period. I'm sure the food is always excellent. We had the Jerusalem artichoke & carrot soup, along w/ roast smoked pork shoulder and chicken stuffed w/ chevrie (?sp) cheese.... More
