Three Penny Taproom is small but inviting. We sat on wooden benches that almost gave you the feeling you were in a ski chalet. The cloth napkins were a nice touch. They have extensive offerings of beer but I had a gin martini. It was a generous pour and perfectly made. The main courses were classic. The beef stew with... More

I've been a few times now in the last year. If I lived here I'd visit twice a week! Great food! Ambiance is awesome! And the beer list is perfect! Cheers!

You like craft beer? Here's the place to go. Two rooms - one side a long bar, the other a restaurant, connected with throughways. Enjoyed dinner at the bar - friendly and welcoming service. Went there by myself and was made to feel welcome, which sitting solo at a bar is a must. Food great, but the access to great... More

We first stopped at the North Branch Cafe, then came to three penny, prior to dinner at Sarducci's ( disappointing). I texted my daughter and son in law to meet me here, but they were like, not for me, " that place if for beer snobs". I was taken back by that, since I consider them to be beer connoisseurs.... Of course they have an incredible beer selection but what's nice is the food is outstanding as well. Try the local beef burger. incredible... Staff is always friendly. Don't forget to try it for lunch if you aren't around town in the evening!

Three Penny Taproom has a great selection of local beers, including many IPAs, but I wasn't expecting such good food. My husband and I had the cheese platter, which was very good. For lunch, I had the mussels, which were good with a touch of spice, and my husband had a very tasty burger. This is a great casual place,... More

An established restsurant where the locals gather and the tourists eat. Have eaten there several times and each meal has been good. Portions are not huge, but adequate and delicious. Bar scene in an adjacent room is active but does not intrude on dining area.

This was the perfect place to stop for a light lunch. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was superb, the selection of beers and ciders all you could wish for. The wait staff were friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable. A definite hit!

I had the best grilled cheese and tomato soup of my life here, plus fab cocktails and craft beer. We'll definitely come back next time we're in town.

Driving through Vermont in October enjoying the fall foliage. Stopped in for lunch based on other Trip Advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The grilled cheese with carmalized onions, tomato soup nicely spiced and a shared spinach salad made for a warm comfort food lunch. Tip: try one of the brews to add to your experience. The seasonal Lost Oktober... More
