This review is based off of two visits to the tap room. One one occasion I dined there for a late lunch/early dinner with friends, our waitress was slow, preoccupied and hardly paid attention to us, so much so that she forgot our appetizers and when our main course came out and we mentioned it to her, she simply shrugged.... First, it is important to know that the price range that comes up on this site is inaccurate...actually lunches are closer to $8-14. That being said, it is a great place. One of us had the Cobb salad $13 the other the Mezzanine Plate...hummus, babba ganoush, cheese, olives and tomatoes...excellent! Same price and well worth it. Portion sizes are spot... More

We had lunch here in mid-afternoon on a weekday, so it was not at all crowded, but I'm told that it is jammed at lunch and dinner time, especially if the legislature is in session.. The burgers were extremely good, the fries equally so. The tempeh reuben was also good, but the vegetarian plate was only so so. The beer... More

They had lots of local beer and Orr waiter was very knowledgeable and even brought some samples he thought we would like. The grilled cheese was unique and very crispy. The potato and steak flatbread was quite good. A very good restaurant that will be on our list.

I really like this place! I was in Montpelier on business and this place was perfect for me. The service was efficient, the food was very good, and there is a great beer selection. The prices are fine too. The friendly atmosphere makes me want to return the next time I'm in Montpelier.

Stopped in here Memorial Day for lunch. We don't drink beer, but they had many, many choices of craft beers. I got a locally made root beer. We both ordered a bacon cheese burger. Very tall burgers. My husband got a double and took one burger off and ate it with a fork. The bacon wasn't crispy, which was disappointing,... More

We enjoyed tasting 3 different types of Vermont cheese. The dish was served with figs, honey and warm toast - very nice. We had read about this resturant in Fodor's. The menu was limited, but what we had was great.

Had the veggie flatbread which was quite good. The grilled cheese sandwich was a little too greasy for me. Local root beer was decent. We didn't have beer, which appears to be the main draw.

They focus on beer but they have good food, too- I had an excellent steak salad (although you should ask what's in the salads, they don't list most of the ingredients on the menu and some of them were unexpected). Get here early because the wait can get long.
