Pastries and bread is great at the Brioche but, once more, we were greatly disappointed with our lunch. Hence this review. The sandwiches are made well ahead of time, wrapped in plastic, and kept in refrigerators to fill orders later in the day. This practice, sad for such an institution, makes for soggy and cold bread robbed of the wonderful... More

If you're in the mood for coffee and danish, thois is the place to go. Operated by the New England Culinary Institute, it features all sorts of pastries, excellent coffees, and the like. If you're interested in bacon and eggs, this is not the place to go; but, if you want that little snack, or tasty pastry, definitely give it... More

Sure you can purchase and eat other deliciousness at La Brioche Bakery and Cafe but why would you. They make some of the best chocolate chip cookies around. I go about twice a week. On a bad week, I am there 3-4 times a week just for the cookies. Be warned the chocolate chip cookies usually sell out earlier in... More

Tried several items. A sampling of sweets and some bread. Everything was so fresh. You can see the NECI students making everything through the kitchen window. Highly recommend.

The morning bun I had here was one of the best pastry I have ever had. Good coffee to go with it too (they have mild, medium and bold). Outstanding.

Specialty coffees you speechless and chocolate croissant fresh daily, our hands down the best chocolate some. I called ahead one day to place my order, when I came in the croissants boxed and ready to be paid for. It was absolutely wonderful service, not to mention that when I ordered, I was informed that it was buy one get one... More

My husband and I took a day trip out to Vermont during a trip to Maine. We decided to stop off in Montpelier for a quick visit and bite to eat. After having some lunch, I wanted to satisfy my sweet tooth so we stopped by La Brioche. We got a latte and cappuccino and I tried some of the... More

Remember it is a training unit for New England Culinary Institute, sometimes service is wonderful at the counter and sometimes you get the feeling that the counter staff wish they were somewhere else! That said sandwiches, pastries and soups are always delcious and good choice of cookies and coffee too. Nice outdoor seating in summer for watching the world of... More

What a treat. Was walking the cold streets of Montpelier, VT looking for a place for a quick sandwich. I knew it would be great for the taste buds as soon as I walked in. Culinary school chef candidates scurrying around and the aroma of pastries, soup and coffee. Well done.

Great place for a nice bowl of soup with a fresh piece of bread. Afterwards indulge in a sweet decadence .."... Enjoy the view of downtown and support the Culinary School. All at a reasonable price!
