Enjoyed the spinach and feta stuffed croissant and the pumpkin tart. The croissant was the divine and the crust on the tart perfect.

We stopped in for tea, hot chocolate, and pastries one morning and were well-satisfied. It's staffed by students in the New England Culinary Institute. La Brioche is in the center of the town and easy to walk to. Good friendly service.

We had a coffee and pastry whilst making a quick visit to the town. The apple galette was one of the best I've ever had! Coffee was so-so but we find very few people in the US can make a decent coffee! Service good and friendly. Worth a visit for the apple galette!

Stopped here during our visit to this capital city. Had a coffee, cappuccino, chocolate croissant and monkey bread. I'm not a croissant fan, but this chocolate croissant was delicious as were the other items. Nice snack for the afternoon!

If in Montpelier and hankering for a good cup of coffee and something sweet, do drop by La Brioche, NECI's affiliate where baking students are taught the sweeter side of life. Their lattes and cappucinos are truly flavorful and the pastries are mind-numbingly delicious. Hike an extra half hour and indulge in one of their sweets or take it to... More

Great little café run by the New England Culinary Institute. Everything made on the premises with even a viewing window to watch the pastry chefs at work

If you eat sugar and grains, this is an awesome place! If you don't, don't bother - no other options. But it is a bakery after all - and the NECI students are trained well. Occassionally you'll come across a cashier trainee who's not quite there - but basically - the food is wonderful, prices right, and there's good coffee.

Pastries and bread is great at the Brioche but, once more, we were greatly disappointed with our lunch. Hence this review. The sandwiches are made well ahead of time, wrapped in plastic, and kept in refrigerators to fill orders later in the day. This practice, sad for such an institution, makes for soggy and cold bread robbed of the wonderful... More

If you're in the mood for coffee and danish, thois is the place to go. Operated by the New England Culinary Institute, it features all sorts of pastries, excellent coffees, and the like. If you're interested in bacon and eggs, this is not the place to go; but, if you want that little snack, or tasty pastry, definitely give it... More

Sure you can purchase and eat other deliciousness at La Brioche Bakery and Cafe but why would you. They make some of the best chocolate chip cookies around. I go about twice a week. On a bad week, I am there 3-4 times a week just for the cookies. Be warned the chocolate chip cookies usually sell out earlier in... More
