Drinks and snack

Sat outside and had drinks (wine and Heady Topper) and an exceptional snack - potato skins with chopped chiles, creme fraiche, red onion, etc Good service as well. Would be interested in trying other things on the menu.

Why is running the front of the house so important? The food is always good but when things are busy it turns out that kismet is the hippie word for chaos. The organization needs to improve. We are locals and we are going to stay away!

We loved out pot roast meal, while our friends salmon was just ok. We would not order seafood in VT. The desert was excellent. A 16oz Heady Topper was only $5, how can you go wrong?

Some of the best meals ever have been at Kismet - fresh, locally sourced foods, prepared with some imagination. But often the kitchen is slow. This has sometimes been offset by attentive waitstaff, but be prepared to relax and enjoy your companions while you wait for your food. It will be worth the wait.

Decided to trust my Tripadvisor friends and visit this restaurant on a recent Saturday night. Went in without reservations and waited nearly an hour for a table of 3. OK, I get the wait for a table. After finally getting a table, we placed an order trying out various specials for that night. An hour later, food finally arrives. Problem... More

Still cannot get over how great the meal was at Kismet. I had the tortellini and my daughter had the veggie burger. The tortellini was not the typical kind, it was just so much better. The blending of fresh ingredients and herbs was outstanding. Just perfect. I did not try her burger, but she was equally pleased. Our waitress was... More

Have chosen Kismet for a couple of special occasion lunches, the food was great both times. Great ingredients, beautiful presentation, very nice atmosphere without being precious or pretentious. My only quibble with this place is the somewhat unpredictable hours of operations... I've tried to go for dinner a couple of times and found nobody home... recommend you call ahead. It's... More

Chef/owner Crystal Madeira knows what she is doing and had created an array of dishes worthy of five stars. The essence here is fresh, local, farm-to-table and just really fine efforts on everything I have ever had here. The menu is NOT static, but changes with the season and with the creative ideas born here. Here's a sample vegetarian dish... More

Hungry and cold, my friends and I found this great place via Yelp. A farm-to-table restaurant with lots of coziness and charm to go around, Kismet offers a delicious prix fixe dinner menu from which you can select a la carte items. Their plates are quite ideal for sharing. Luckily, I was able to have a little tasting of each... More

We went for brunch on New Year's Day and were overall delighted. My companion had the Portuguese baked eggs, which were unusual and delicious. I had a special that was on for that day, a benedict florentine style dish with crusty bread instead of english muffins. The components of the dish were all good, including the hollandaise, but in my... More
