Friendly service, awesome sandwiches, missed the pickle and chips, great chewy, large bread slices, wonderful slab of tempeh, perfect amount of dressing and sauerkraut

I am sorry and sad to say that I was disappointed. I really liked the atmosphere and service. I want this place to do well but we were unimpressed by the food once it arrived. There were three of us: one of us ordered a burger and opted for salad instead of fries; one of us ordered the reuben; and... More

Went here for dinner with a few friends when I was visiting Montpelier this fall. The menu was inventive, yet expensive for what you get; I ordered a tempeh veggie burger which was two pieces of almost burnt tempeh on a bun with a tomato for $15 and minimal sides of arugula and potatoes. While I can't speak for the... More

We were a party of 7 for supper. The food, drinks, and service were excellent. Kismet was full of people and we were glad we had reservations. The menu is varied and the food is fresh and well-prepared. It's great for a special occasion.

The food is good, but it is really expensive for what you get. My daughter and I went there for an early dinner she got a burger and I got a soup and a coke. The bill was $100 after tax. It did taste good but not that good. There are other restaurants that serve good food and are not... More

Brunch for two at the bar. From the strawberry mimosa to the Portugese eggs, we enjoyed the hometown food and ambience. Fresh juices with a twist.

Background: Though we have awesome restaurants in the Burlington, Vermont area, we had reason to meet a New Hampshire friend in Montpelier. They choose, Kismet, and though there was a long line (long enough to do some shopping - they texted us when the table was ready), it was well worth the wait. Verdict: All of the dishes we ordered... Stopped by for a dinner on our way from Montreal to Hanover, NH - it’s a two minute drive off I-89. What a find! It's a really small place. I suspect Fridays get reserved a week or two in advance. The food was excellent all around. We enjoyed every bit. Good selection of wine and beer, too. Do yourself a... More

We had visited Kismet for breakfast and lunch before, but it had been 8 or 9 years. Plus we had never had dinner before. Well, nothing but thumbs up again. I love the fact that the ingredients come from their neighborhood, quite literally, and visiting in August means so much is available. We were in no rush and had a... More
