The food was absolutely delicious. I had the sausage, fingerling potato, and grains, topped by a perfectly poached egg. The plate was beautiful, and every bite was wonderful. Yes, it was pricey, but this was a special occasion, a gathering of writer-friends before a book event, so it was worth it. My one caveat was the wait. We allowed 2... More

Food last night was delicious- Well prepared and high marks for presentation. $8 for 8 bites of roasted beet salad. $19 for two ravioli 2 inches in diameter. Luckily I could share my husband's entree. We both had room for dessert and it was very nice. It would have to be a very special night out to go back.

The food is absolutely amazing. Local, often organic, always fresh, beautifully seasoned, creatively combined ingredients, generous portions. The owner is also the chef and Crystal is always in the kitchen making sure everything comes out perfectly. There are gluten-free, and vegan options available along with the local meat and fresh fish options; something for everyone! They have a nice wine... More

I am a local, and have eaten at every restaurant in Montpelier SEVERAL times. I never tire of Kismet. I love that I can trust the quality of the ingredients... always with an emphasis on local. They do an awesome job of balancing creative and rustic cuisine - something familiar with a twist that makes it more delicious than you... More

I have written a review of this restaurant before but it was their "Secret Sushi" day serving a completely different menu. So to be fair, I am writing another review on my experience when they had their regular menu. I called during the day to make a reservation and left a message. They called back while I was away and... More

Group of 4, awesome mimosas, everyone's breakfast or lunch was really good. We had one of the XO burgers, huevos rancheros, french toast, and the squash crepes special. All excellent. Cute restaurant, not too long of a wait at 1pm on a Saturday. Definitely would recommend if you are in or around Montpelier, it's a nice half way point on... More

From the moment I walked in the door, I loved this place but I really didn't know why. Friend who lives in the area gave me four choices of where to eat so in reality, it came down to the name. Very cozy--it was a cold night and it was nice and warm inside. We had a reservation and were... More

First off, I just can't understand why so many people like Sarducci's (other than the LCD factor ;-), as to me it's just crowded and noisy with ordinary food. NECI can be good, but it's highly variable based on the dish and who's cooking it. I don't get to Montpelier that often, and the late, lamented Pheobe - which had... More

The food was great! The Chef, Charles out did himself ! His warm beet soup was to die for. All the dishes, scallops, oysters, fetacinini , salad were awesome. Make reservation, or expect to wait. The service was somewhat slow, so make an evening of it. I is worth the wait.

This was the second restaurant we visited in our first trip to vermont for its foliage. the first restaurant didn't really deliver what was written about it, we didn't hold much hope on the second one. the greeter was very warm and welcoming (i guess vermonters are all like that, right :P). the restaurant was a bit cozy and we...
