Jessica's is just two blocks from downtown Middlebury, set in an 1814 stately home, surrounded by beautiful lawns and gardens. Jessica's is. A beautifully appointed restaurant in a lovely New England Inn just a block from downtown Middlebury. The menu is creative, with seasonal changes and local meats and produce. The crab cakes are second to none, even ones I have had along Chesapeake Bay !

We had the pleasure of staying at the lovely, historic Swift House Inn near the end of foliage season in October. Our first evening, we dined at Jessica's, the Inn's charming restaurant. We enjoyed the warmth of the period touches in a small room with a marvelous view of the glorious sunset. Our server proved gracious, informative and attentive. We... More

This past Tuesday I attended a wine tasting dinner that was unbelievably divine! Five courses carefully constructed by the hands of Chef Robert Fenn. The evening started off with warm and wonderful people and ambiance, and ended with perfectly filled stomachs and satisfied taste buds! If you haven't eaten at Jessica's Restaurant at the Swift House Inn, do your self... More

We ate dinner here while staying at the Inn. We had relatively low expectations regarding the food and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was quite good, and the ambiance was very pleasant.

We were staying at the Inn for a night and decided to have dinner here. I ordered the steak and my husband ordered the ceasar salad with chicken. The steak was good but the fries didn't seem fancy enough for a pairing with steak. Maybe I should have asked for the potatoes as a substitute. Apple crisp needed more ice... More

When booking our stay at The Swift House Inn, they asked if we would like reservations at their on site restaurant. We decided to do that as we would not have to search for somewhere to dine that night. We made a very good choice! Our meal was very good and the atmosphere was very nice and appropriate for a... Everyone loved their dinner but the breakfast was even more delicious with both cold and hot options available. Traveling with 4 young adults who are very health conscious, the variety of fruits, yogurts, oatmeal and eggs made everyone extremely happy. Will definitely eat here again.

We were staying in Middlebury for 4 nights, and unfortunately only ate at Swift House the final night, It was August, so we sat on a pleasant screened porch surrounded by the beauty of the property on which Swift House is located. We were the last to arrive, and there were about 6 other tables of people. Unfortunately, there was... More

Two visits to Jessica's Restaurant in the past two weeks proved to be excellent choices. We have had many excellent meals at the Swift House Inn over the past few years. Tom the bartender and host is very attentive, recommends excellent wines and makes one feel at home. The owners, Dan and Michele, have a beautiful upscale B&B. Both times... More

We were a party of nine so I understand it's hard for the staff. This was an excellent meal and every entree was really good. Only low points were the slow service and the fries could have been awesome but they were over seasoned which masked the underlying excellent fries. These were minor issues and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal.... More
