Nice ambiance and huge salad bar

Excellent staff and a nice variety/selection of beers. Salad bar is a meal in itself. Walls are covered with local history and there is a 1920s boat inside the restaurant, but it all works for them!

Had heard only wonderful things prior to my visit thus one could question whether my experience was Fire and Ice having a bad day ...... We arrived on Monday evening about 5pm to find both the pub and restaurant areas both quite busy. After standing around looking lost for five minutes we obtained a pub table by asking a passing... Just one thing after another went wrong. Sat down to a table that was never properly cleaned. Ordered drinks...Bloody Mary's were no more that tomato juice in a glass. No spices, salt or pepper etc added. My wife got a kettle martini. Extra was brought to table in a soda glass full of ice. Melted down instantly. No silverware was... More

Busy atmosphere & crowded dining rooms. My husband and I wanted to try some place different and this place had many great reviews. The salad bar was great but the onion soup was not. There was nothing special about this place that would make me return. Sorry.

Ate here Memorial Day Weekend. Its one of those restaurants with different themed rooms - an antique lake party boat sits in an area surrounded by the salad bar and the bread bar. At the table the waitress (a shout out to Willow who did an excellent job) rattled off a lengthy list of beers ON TAP. There were lots... More

Decent pub grub and a fully stocked salad & soup bar in an eclectic setting. Good waitstaff, friendly and attentive. Worth a stop if in the area.

This is the third time a group of us (at least 40) have dined at Fire and Ice. Just the restaurants decor in itself is amazing. Each room has its own character. Then you add the 55+ salad bar - at a very reasonable price - what more could you ask for. I recommend this restaurant highly.

I think the best thing I can say about Fire and Ice is that it had really interesting decor. We enjoyed looking at all the pictures on the wall. Our dinner was just average, our server was kinda grouchy, and the salad bar was not that great. We were left just thinking it was just average, and would likely try... More

Been here more than a few times and each visit was good. The menu has enough variety to please anyone and the salad bad is about as expansive as any I’ve ever seen. The soup and salad bad is a good combination for a lighter dinner, and the clam chowder is very good. The fresh bread selection is excellent. This... More

Every couple of years we come here and it's always outstanding. The salad bar with homemade bread, cheese, sushi, shrimp cocktail fresh milk is a huge wow. Today I had filet mignon stuffed with lobster and hollandaise sauce OMG! The decor is so interesting this is a must do when in Middlebury VT :-)
