We enjoyed a late breakfast on a recent Saturday at this quintessential Vermont spot. Rosie's is large with several welcoming rooms with inviting and comfortable decor. Prices are very reasonable. We both ordered French toast and it was good--could use something to make it a little more special (thicker toast, more cinnamon and/or confectioners sugar), but still tasty and well-priced.... More

Our server sorry don't remember her name but she had short blond hair. She was quick, pleasant and we knew that she loved what she did because of her attitude She wanted to tell us a joke but we didn't ask her because she was busy:) She had good suggestions as we had not eaten there before and we were... Going to Rosie's felt like a visit to Grandma's house: the food tasted like home cooked, every single person we met was friendly and helpful! The menu was huge - I can't imagine anybody not being able to find something they liked - and the prices were all very reasonable. We were visiting in the area and had such a... More

Great meal for two under $30. Plenty of great food and in and out in under an hour - wish we could say the local lodging was this impressive

Traveling through this area and stopped for lunch. I had the roast turkey platter which csme with peas, butternut squash, mashed potatoes, cranberry relish. Turkey and squash were excellent; peas not like southerners like-- too hard. Spouse had beef liver which was very good. No bread served with meal-- must be a northern thing.

My parents took my friends and me to Rosie's on special occasions when we were students at Middlebury College. When I return on vacation, it's a must. The staff is amazingly warm and friendly and treat customers like old friends. It is hard to choose from the extensive menu, but not to fear, because everything tastes wonderful. I had the... More

I had breakfast here two consecutive mornings and both meals were terrific. The food was very good, the service was quick and the people were friendly.

We walked into Rosie's about 8:45 pm and even though they close at 9pm...they treated us like we were the first customer of the day. A huge menu...and has a home cooked taste! Helpings are extremely generous and a definite good value. Our waitress was very cordial...

My favorites are the grilled sandwiches, and the onion rings. Cream pies and ice cream parfaits and sundaes are the perfect ends to the perfect meals here. The hot turkey entrees are from local sources and are piping hot and brimming with delicate cream sauces. Side dishes, like Cole slaw, cranberry sauce, and fries seem to be remarkably freshly prepared,... More

I've never had a bad breakfast at Rosie's. Service is always top notch. As I am a tea drinker I'm pleased that they have a selection from Republic of Tea.
