For dinner our party of 5 enjoyed the chicken and dumplings, homemade meatball sub, fish sandwich and one of the evening specials, baked half chicken, The clam chowder was very good and the day's special pea soup tasty but too thick. Cole slaw and other accompanying side dishes were good and freshly made. If you have room, their dessert selection... More

Rosie's offers a typical diner atmosphere with many selections available on its menu. With that being said, don't expect everything to be prepared to perfection. As with most restaurants, there are certain things that Rosie's does better than others....breakfast and their daily specials are sure bets. While other reviewers have complained that there is nothing particularly "special" about the specials,... More

Clean comfortable restaurant. We ordered the fried oyster appetizer and the Maine lobster dinner. Great quick service. Good food. Reasonable prices. Trainee Logan waited on us- she was very good.

We have known this restaurant since it started in the 1980's. Friendly and welcoming to all ages. Meals not overly seasoned or salty. Pea Soup is on the menu every day, and is great. Few restaurants serve liver and onions as well, and reasonably priced. Service is consistently good to excellent, and always friendly. Breakfasts are a special favorite of... More

Lunch specials are a great value, from $7.45 for scalloped pot. & ham to $12.95 for the grilled salmon with a Ceasar salad. Try the "Pulled Turkey Platter" at $11.95 which can have 5 sides, like cole slaw, mashed pot. mashed sweet pot. cranberry relish, fresh green peas, sage dressing and carefully made gravy. The clam strip platter is super... More

Vacationing in Vermont's Green Mountains, we were out for a drive and about noon came to Middlebury, where we happened to see Rosie's. It looked interesting and we were hungry and so went in. The hostess was affable and we were seated at once. Give the folks their due, the dining area was clean and neat. The server took awhile... More

This restaurant is a stand alone building outside of the village of Middlebury. It appeared to be frequented by locals and was busy on a Tuesday night in late May. The food was good, nothing special, but a good value. Service was spotty and we needed to ask for refills on our drinks and no check on the meals. We... More

The description of this restaurant as American is accurate. The food is mostly processed, for the most part unhealthy, and very unoriginal. If you're looking for homestyle comfort food in a relaxed atmosphere, try Two Brothers.

Went here for lunch on a chilly day and the homey dining room with fireplace and colonial like curtains for warming. Had a hot turkey sandwich was very good but could have used just a little more gravy. The orange cranberry sauce was nice and a little different from the regular. My husband had the fish and chips and said... More

I've eaten here at least a dozen times; most often for breakfast. This restaurant offers many reasonable priced comfort foods, provides good service and well cooked meals. There is plenty of seating and it is a good choice for a large group. I like their biscuits and gravy.
