Affordable, Good food

While staying in the area, we hit up a few places to eat. Many places were pretty pricey for the food you got, but Rosie's food was some of the best we had in the Middlebury area, at an affordable price.

Rosie's is more of a diner than a restaurant. The food is "okay" -- breakfast is definitely better than dinner. The restaurant needs to be updated a bit, it's starting to show it's wear. My daughter loves their spaghetti, I typically order the turkey dinner. It's an "okay" place to stop if you need a quick bite to eat.

Rosie's is an institution in Middlebury, and one my friends and I are always glad to see is still here, each time we return. Good diner food, with a Vermont twist.

This is a very nice place near the center of Middlebury where we had a good breakfast. My wife had scrambled eggs with fast and grapefruit sizes, all of which was very good. I had the French toast which was a disappointment. The bread was ordinary white bread and the slices had been dipped -- but NOT soaked -- in... More

Travelling through Vermont from New Hampshire on our driving vacation. This place was just the kind of cosy Vermont experience I pictured in my head. Country-esque decor but not kitschy. A fireplace. The diner section of the restaurant looked all-American with it's soda fountain seating at the counter. Really enjoyed the breakfast with eggs, hotcakes and maple syrup. Great service.

Breakfast and dinner were very good with good service. Good seating in different dining areas. Easy access and handicap accessible.

Rosie’s excels at providing travelers and families quickly prepared and promptly served basic home style diner meals. Their menu is big with many choices. Breakfast is best, any time during the day. My breakfast fave is the bacon and blueberry pancake platter. For lunch try the fried clam strips. Coffee is always hot and fresh. Ask about the daily specials.... More

We had lunch here as we toured around the area; I remembered eating here years before, and the place has expanded considerably since that time. Still casual, friendly, with expansive menu. Our food was top notch, despite the place losing power in an electrical storm. The staff maintained a sense of humor and were kind and accommodating. Lots of room... More

It's big inside. Friendly service. Great bacon with blueberry pancakes with maple syrup. Vermont coffee is served (of course). The place needs a little fixing up. Bare light bulbs in the room I was in, as well as a hole in the ceiling. The air conditioning was really cranked up, several customers mentioned how cold it was but it didn't... More

One of the few family style restaurants in the area, Rosie's offers a very nice menu of items most of them locally sourced. Very good daily specials. .
