Took my son to visit Middlebury College and then we walked around town looking for a place to eat lunch. The lunch was delicious and this is a true mom and pop type shop. Quintessential Vermont! The bread was delicious, healthy, obviously baked that day. I had the chicken salad~ delicious. My son had the ham and cheese melt~ good... More

Visited this college town today and stopped by this place for lunch. The check for two was around $20. Even though I ordered, paid, and picked up lunch at the counter, I left a $4 tip and the girl was very appreciative. The clam chowder was very good as well as the turkey panini. My partner said the fish and... More

Everything made to order -- good burgers, homemade soups, nice salads, and a variety of non-alcoholic drink options (including a coffee bar). I wouldn't drive far out of my way to eat here, but when in Middlebury, it is a very good stop. Natives are very friendly -- service is fast and efficient (and the staff actually seems to enjoy... This place has a good variety and decent prices. My wife and daughter really liked the fish n' chips. The open kitchen allows you to see them make the food in a clean well maintained kitchen.

The staff here is always prompt, friendly, and ready to help (usually before I can decide what I want!) The atmosphere is comfortable & warm, has free wifi, is bus your own plates style, and has good seating. I just recently had a huge egg sandwich with thick bacon (that was cooked in their wood-fired oven) on fresh hearty whole... More

While the menu does not offer the array of Middle Eastern foods that it did when they first opened, this is still a passable place for a quick lunch and an even better place for a summer ice cream cone or a cup of hot coffee on a winter day. I recommend Sama's as a good place to sit and... More

Stopped here for a sandwhich to go. The staff is friendly and helpful. Ordered grilled chicken with pesto, roasted peppers etc. on toasted rye. Lets just say, the "toasted rye" was slightly burnt, the grilled chicken is not "real chicken breast", but the forned processed chicken. There were not many peppers, the pesto was good, didn't think it was worth the... More

My mom and I split the Bistro Salad with chicken. It was very tasty. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a casual hang out with a good vibe. The employees were very nice, too.

Sama's is a place to grab breakfast or lunch or an ice cream cone. You can eat inside or out, and either way you will run into Middlebury College students, faculty, and local townspeople. You order at the counter, and quickly your food appears. Excellent wraps, salads, and breakfast omelettes.

We returned to Sama's for the atmosphere and the wood fired pizza. There were several interesting choices on the menu so we did not have the pizza. For an easy, relaxing and quick if you want it to be meal, Sama's Cafe does not disappoint with homemade soups, paninis, salads and of course, pizza.
