Live Music Downstairs

The main pub area (upstairs) was quite busy when I arrived with a friend at 6pm on a very recent Friday evening. Within moments the greeter sensed our hesitation and suggested the music venue downstairs. Thankfully we took her suggestion. Great (professional) rock-a-billy band playing standards and... read more

Our party of two arrived before 4pm on a Saturday and waited long enough for initial contact from our server that it was the manager who inquired if we had be attended to yet and apologized. However we still waited longer than necessary for our beer flight and soda. A bit of advice the tables for two are tiny so... More

While driving from Canada to Boston we stopped in Middlebury for lunch and discovered a real gem - Two Brothers Tavern. Everything from my lamb sliders and accompanying salad to hubby's cream of broccoli soup and chicken club was delicious and truly memorable. One of the best meals we've ever had in a restaurant along with great atmosphere and super... More

We went to Two brother's after having a horrible experience at another place in town and it turned out to be the best thing we did. The restaurant was clean and well lit, the food was delicious, the waiter was great at helping us find food that my peanut/treenut allergic daughter could eat. He double checked everything she ordered with... More

Food was good, I'd recommend their chicken pot pie. I ate at the bar and had a few craft beers as well. Service at the bar was excellent. Great pub/tavern atmosphere.

We ate here last week. The food was very good. My son had a burger and I had a salad. We were both very happy with our selection.

We ate dinner here during a recent visit to Middlebury based on very positive reviews. While the service was very good, the food was not. I had a panini -- it was fine, but unremarkable. My wife had the chicken pot pie. The very pleasant waitress sent it back to the kitchen before even serving it - the top wasn't... More

Dear gbsand81, Thank you for stopping in and taking the time to review us. On behalf of our family of staff, please accept my humblest apology for your less than satisfactory chicken pot pie. Stopped for an after noon lunch. The food was delicious and service excellent. We had a seat by the window (which I recommend). Also, a nice beer selection, both on tap and bottle.

Very nice pub/restaurant upstairs. Lounge atmosphere downstairs. Fare is good with local products from farmers, dairy, vinyards, butchers, and culture. Poutine is always delicious, a warm comfort food on cold days and nights in fall and winter. Wine selection is wonderful. Fall brings back the Middlebury University students who add flavor and color to the sports season.

Local beers on tap, and some tasty food to match. Cake was very rich and beers and coffee very good. Server was energetic polite and attentive (Eric). Had a split middle with a tavern on the left restaurant on the right. We were looking for food so went to the restaurant side. Not disappointed, and the divide kept the pub... More
