Thai Star has come a long way since these old reviews. We came for lunch and were not disappointed. Lunch came with a lovely soup with fresh cilantro, tender chicken in a creamy broth. Yum. You can't go wrong with any of the curries. Everything was just so fresh and delicious. We took our entrees home because there was just... More

Friends suggested Thai Star, and we went, even though we had been disappointed in the past. The soup and spring rolls were okay. The tofu in my green curry was very tough. The portion size was not overly generous. My husband had the Mendon Special, which loomed great on the menu but looked dreadful on the plate. It wasn't at... More

I have to agree with the majority of reviewers here. We found the food at Thai Star to be absolutely fantastic! The new owners have brought an extensive menu of cooked to order authentic Thai dishes to this somewhat remote location that's not to be missed. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented instead of just thrown on... More

We hadn't eaten here in a couple years. Restaurant.com had a sale ($1 for $25 coupons) and Thai Star was one of the available restaurants in the area, so I picked one up. Got there Saturday night at 6:30pm. Only one other table of 2 other than us. Left at 7:45pm and no one else came in the whole time.... More

This is the only decent Thai restaurant in this area. I encourage diners to try them because I want to keep them in business. Very fresh food, made to order with an extensive menu. They will mix and match foods for you too. Bring your own bottle, there is no bar.

Despite the fact that it's really ugly inside (sorry all Thai restaurants, but you all seem to have the exact same set of ugly pictures on your walls) the food was really, really good and I'd go back. Who knew you could get great Thai food in the middle of Vermont!

This ended up becoming a highlight in our recent fall foliage trip. We were not sure whether this place was open since there was just one car in the parking. We went in there and I am glad we checked. The menu is a long one. They have a ton of Thai varieties. Best thing is they had plenty of... More

My family was tired and hungry when we happened upon this restaurant and I am so glad we did! The food was delicious (I had the tofu pad thai) and the waitress was so sweet with my little son, bringing him a little "appetizer" plate of goldfish crackers and taking good care of us.

We LOVE Thai food and made plans to visit this restaurant one night. As always food reviews are very subjective so we'll just share our experience and thoughts. Tom Yum soups were okay. Chicken satay was a bit dry and overcooked. Volcano chicken was very "eruptive" with chili and Thai herbs. Not really what I thought it was going to... More
