Got there by a fluke and felt immensely lucky. The humble exterior - and interior - was quickly overshadowed by the warmth and impish welcome by the proprietor, who with rethorical skill and charm introduced us to the savoury morsels of the day. We (nearly) tried them all and felt much the happier for doing so. Go there - try... More

Our lunch was excellent. The sweet desserts ( I bought a variety of them to take to a dinner ) were great . The owner's act ( he was also the server) did not bother me, but my wife found him over the top.

You really MUST check this place out if you are anywhere in a 50 mile radius of Marshfield, VT. Some family stumbled upon it on a New England tour several years ago and haven't stopped exclaiming over it. I finally got within a reasonable distance (Smuggler's Notch, VT) and made the 90 minute drive to judge for myself if the... More

We were visiting the Cabot Cheese factory in Cabot VT and looking for a local place to have lunch. We sure made the right decision when we stopped by the Rainbow Sweets Cafe. We loved meeting with Bill and felt right at home. The food was outstanding. Enjoyed our visit.

Traveling from Maine to Alexandria Bay, NY, we were looking for a place for a quick lunch when we spotted the sign for Rainbow Sweets in Marshfield VT. The sign said it was a "Bakery and Cafe", so we figured, if nothing more, we could grab a pastry and cup of coffee, From the moment we walked through the door,... More

We were driving to Peacham pond and stopped in starving. We were so glad we did! Excellent pastries (we took a large box to go) and delicious lunch. We laughed with the owner the whole meal through. My friend has already been back!

This place is amazing the food, the owners, you have to see it to believe it. So glad that we stumbled on this true gem. The pastries are amazing but his savory specialties are pure Heaven & the pizza? I feel like I'm in Sicily. Words can't do the whole experience justice

Very delicious and upscale pastries for a small town bakery and cafe. Items are pricey, but definitely worth giving them a try. The owner has a unique sense of humor that adds something to the experience if you are not easily offended.

Wonderful food! If you are within driving distance you must check this place out. Bill is the owner and has the gift of being a wonderful host and a baker. Your mind and your palate will be delighted.
