Mrs. Murphy's is Donut Heaven

Spotted this gem while passing through Manchester and am glad we did. It's easy to miss, as it is in a little strip of stores close to the road next to a laundrymat. Mrs. Murphy sure knows her donuts. They are all fresh, crisp, not greasy or oily with artificial shortening, etc. Once you bite into... read more

A local institution since forever. They can build yet another designer garbage store in Manchester but Mrs. Murphy endures. And makes damn good donuts and coffee. The real thing. Old fashioned counter service.

Lovely little diner/doughnut shop on Deport Street in Manchester, VT. Nice ladies who service the counter and an awesome selection of delicious freshly baked doughnuts! My only regret, they were out of the fresh blueberry by the time I got there (8:15 AM) on a Sunday morning.

Great donuts - big selection. Make sure to get there early some of the types can be sold out. But no matter what you get you won't be disappointed.

For donuts as in days of yore you must not miss Mrs Murphy's! They are soft and succulent and made on the premises.

We met friends who told us about Mrs. Murphy's. They were right-on. Donuts & coffee were very economical and delicious. We even took extras to have on the road!

I moved back to VT in 2010 from NC. My husband was so disappointed with Dunkin Donuts and longing for a good honey glazed donut. I finally took him to Mrs. Murphy's and he loves it. I remember going to Mrs. Murphy's when I was little and it hasn't changed much it still has that small town donut shop feel... More

We popped in here for afternoon coffee and snack for the kids while exploring Manchester. The donuts were awesome and my coffee was great. They didn't have any soft drinks, though, so my husband had to go next door to buy one. This place has a casual, local feel.
