Delicious every time

The atmopshere is wonderful and the food is OUTSTANDING. Worth it for the mac & cheese alone! Lovely staff, very cozy, and not a bad item on the menu. Treat yourself!

Great basic comfort food with new England favorites in a wonderful colonial inn setting. We loved the décor and crackling fireplace felt transformed to another time. Food was good, but not great. Stuffed shrimp was typical, stuffed with bread stuffing tasted great but nothing fancy. Chicken pot pie is more like shepards pie with chicken. Mashed potatoe base, chicken and... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and dining with us. We couldn't be happier to hear how much you enjoyed the atmosphere and service. We also appreciate your comments regarding the cheddar & ale onion soup and chicken pot pie. We are sorry to hear it wasn't quite what you were expecting, but thrilled... More

Our grown up kids were home for Christmas and we took them to dinner. Our server was very attentive and knowledgable. The food was excellent as usual. We were in the back room and very warm and comfortable.

My entire experience at the Tavern was excellent. Michael was always available to discuss arrangements with me via emails. Although he wasn't there the evening of the event, Cassandra and Tina were ready, patient and creative in their approach. The food was delicious, the ambiance delightful and the vintage hats we found added enormously to our fun and pleasure. i'm... More

Switched reservations to Ye Olde based on reviews and couldn't be more disappointed. Thought everything from apps, salads, to dinner (including their weekend prime rib) were at best average but priced well above value. Total of 8 in my party ordering different things, and best review was "guess it was ok". Wouldn't recommend for dinner but perhaps lunches are better

I'm disheartened to hear that you had such a negative dining experience. We sincerely strive to offer our guests a special and memorable evening. We set high standards for ourselves, only serving exceptionally high quality ingredients. I wish you had mentioned something while at the tavern, since all of us are professionals and are very mindful about our guests experience.... More

Best way to describe it is as New England comfort food. Everything I tried was amazing and they have very friendly service. Highly recommend!

We dined at Ye Olde Tavern on a Tuesday evening when they offered a candle-lit colonial dining experience. It was delightful. The Tavern truly lends itself to a return to the past. The food was very good (we enjoyed the duck with blackberry demi-glace with Grand Marnier flambe). The wine list was good and very fairly priced. Our waiter was... More

The food is good. The inside is quaint. You can walk to this restaurant from the Palmer House. It has been a few years since we were there, but a family member was there a couple of years ago and she was very satisfied.

I have had the pleasure of dining here for at least 18 years and, frankly, would not even harbor the thought of eating anywhere else in Manchester. Just to enter Ye Old Tavern takes one back in history - from the uneven and squeaky hardwood floors to the unique dining rooms and decor plus more. My favorite płace to dine is... More

To hear a long-time customer call us "The best and only place to eat in Manchester" is a unbelievable compliment that I will take to heart. Until your next visit, cheers!... More

I have eaten at Ye Olde Tavern countless times, and always enjoy my experience! The atmosphere is charming and each dining room is a little different (I like the Colonial Room the most). I love the history of the building, which dates back to the Revolutionary War; there are several pictures around the restaurant chronicling the Tavern through the years.... More
