Ye Olde Tavern

Outstanding service and food! Need reservations as this place seems to fill up fast. The menu offers many selections to choose from; I had the baked scrod and my husband had the cider chicken. Yum! The maple butter and fritters are outstanding!

Great beers on tap! Early Bird Menu was excellent and Prime Rib was too! Cranberry fritters and maple butter were delicious as were the desserts! Would definitely recommend for a return trip!

We had a great dinner at the tavern. I would suggest reservations. There were only a few tables open when we arrived. Seated in a great booth by the window. Good wine List with reasonable choices. I had the duck which was fantastic an my husband had the pot roast which was equally good. Cranberry biscuits were great. Server was... More

Despite not having a reservation, the hostess/manager was kind enough to find my daughter and I a table. The service was fantastic and atmosphere was great. Would have given it 5 stars but the sirloin I had was, well, good but not great. Probably not the best cut of meat. The brie appetizer, Mac and Cheese and everything was great.... More

Thank you so much for the review and dining with us. It is great knowing you enjoyed the service, the atmosphere and the food (minus the steak). I assure you we only purchase Certified Black Angus Beef and it is quite rare, that a piece might not be up to par. I wish you had mentioned something when you were... More

Meals are reasonable, delicious and well worth the price. There are "supper" deals and regular dinner meals. ALL are absolutely wonderful.

Don't be put off by the hokey name as the food here is quite good of the straight forward American type with some continental options. We had the roast duck and the liver and both were well prepared.

Thank you for the joining us for dinner and the review. I am thrilled you enjoyed your duck and liver. These are 2 items many restaurants cannot prepare properly. Yes, the name may sound a little hokey but it has served us well for over 75 years and since our building has a 'historic designation', the name cannot be changed.... More

The food was average, however it was a neat atmosphere set in one of the oldest buildings in Manchester. The service was good and the menu included 'down home cooking' that was prepared nicely.

I have been frequenting this restaurant for many years and have always been impressed by the cuisine, atmosphere and service. I have introduced a number of friends, family and acquaintances to this dining establishment and have yet to hear a complaint. A "must go" if you find yourself in the area.
