Stopped by on a Monday nite, Tavern was very busy. The waitstaff was wonderful-they found a table for us immediately. Needless to say the food and service were better than ever.my Hangger Steak was perfect and my wife enjoyed her Turkey burger. Great experience for relaxed dining is a friendly atmosphere.

We randomly stopped at the "Other Woman" side of the bundling for a drink before dinner and ended up bellying up the bar bagging our dinner plans, snacking and eating until 10pm. Has a biker bar vibe on the onset but warmer to the non-biker crowd than that. Beer selection was great, bartender was so nice (I remember your handlebar... More

On a recent trip to Manchester Vermont my wife and I were looking for a good restaurant After reading reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to try the perfect wife. We ate in their tavern, I believe it's called the Other Woman. It was excellent, the service was fantastic, the atmosphere wonderful and our meals were incredible. I had the special... More

Stopped in to the Tavern on a Friday night. Great, casual atmosphere, fantastic food - even entertainment later on - so nice!

Our go-to place for a casual meal- especially when we can dine outside. The Tavern menu has one of my all time favorite apps - which I sometime have as an entree. Eggplant fries (not greasy) light and crisp-- with a delicious savory curry tomato dipping sauce, dotted with warm goat cheese. It is a spectacularly tasty dish. I am not... More

The upstairs bar and restaurart are very popular with locals, but is noisy and uncomfortable for dinner.

A topnotch chef with offerings from quick and light to fancy and filling. The tavern offers sandwiches, seafood, steaks, as well as vegan options. The restaurant is more aimed at foodies with linen tablecloths and an inventive take on local cuisine with unexpected combinations like the "north country chorizo paella." Everything is delicious and satisfying. We had and loved the... More

This place is a "Gem" .Not very far out of the center of Manchester.Plenty of parking too. We have eaten at the bar for a few years & the food is always very good. The bartender is a real friendly guy too. We will be back again next time in Manchester. Good prices on quality food & drink .

I would describe the food as inventive New American and consider it one of the best restaurants in the Greater Manchester / Stratton Mountain area. We tend to revisit restaurants we like, so we have actually dined here twice, as we take annual ski trips to Stratton. The menu was completely different both times and I understand they change it... N43°10.791' W73°0.641' Before entering The Perfect Wife, you have to make a decision between upstairs, the tavern, and downstairs, the restaurant. Although supported by the same kitchen, upstairs offers you pub staples, jukebox music, eating at the bar and screaming babies. Downstairs is much more sophisticated with tablecloths, nice cutlery and expert waiters. We expected serious culinary delights and were... More
