Very pretty restaurant (although I did notice a slightly musty smell when I went in the dining room). We went here with our two kids and another family with one child. (Our kids are older, late elementary ages) . They were very accommodating with items for children and our dinners were very good. Not spectacular, but it was a very... More

Went for a post Christmas dinner. Service was friendly and efficient. Good drinks, frogs legs and escargot were very prepared properly and main courses of salmon stuffed with crab, pork loin and lamb were very good. Only disappointment was the profiteroles as the puff pastry was below par. All in all a fine choice in the Stratton ski region.

Relaxed yet upscale atmosphere with superior food combine with a mature, professional waitstaff continue to make Mistral's the place to beat in the Manchester area for exceptional fine dining. This is no small feat as Manchester continues to have a number of outstanding fine dining choices (The Reluctant Panther, The Silver Fork, etc.) Mistral's continues to consistently achieve high marks... We got the nicest place near the window overseeing the river. Our meal was very good and the service excellent. Even as it was low season , the service was good. Interesting that we also could have good wine by the glass. The Prosecco was also excellent. Somewhat out of town but worthwile to get over there.

Comparable to any NYC, Parisian, etc. 5 star restaurant. We were two couples, and one unanimous opinion that it was truly one of the best meals ever. Close your eyes and point at the menu and you won't be disappointed.

Have eaten here at least once a year for about 30 years. Use to love the food and ambiance. The food is not as wonderful as it was in the past and the facility is becoming very dated. The view of the stream and waterfall is still wonderful. It is our opinion that the food has become average (perhaps other... More

In addition to the always excellent food, love to watch the mountain stream at the back, especially in the winter when it is covered with ice and snow.

A superb Chef; Excellent menu; artful plate presentations; attentive customer oriented wait staff; nice wine list, great signature drinks (try the left bank champagne mixed drink). A table by a window overlooking the mountain stream is a must. A real Vermont special experience... mesmerizing waterfall plus superb dining equals a 5 star romantic epicurean experience you will not soon forget.... More

This is the best restaurant in Manchester or Dorset and has been for years. Dana and Cheryl run the place and turn out fantastic food in a very charming setting. Ask for a table nest to the river.
