The location is absolutely beautiful, unassuming facade, but amazing view behind. This a fine dining restaurant. The Coquilles St. Jacques appetizer special, warm beet and spinach salad with feta, and farm raised Idaho trout stuffed with salmon mousse were all superb (though the richness of the Coquilles St. Jacques haunted us later). Everyone was very friendly and professional. The pace... More

Scenic ride to a wonderful French restaurant just outside of Manchester; a table right beside a rushing waterfall; Chateaubriand for two, perfectly prepared and served with a flourish. Atmosphere with a capital A. Pricey but oh so worth it. Reservations definitely necessary during ski season but we were able to get last minute reservations in the summer. Will definitely go... More

Mistral's is the third french restaurant we went to while in Manchester and of the three, Silver Fork, Brasserie L'Oustau it had the prettiest setting but service and food lagged behind the other two. This is definitely not the restaurant to go if you are a vegetarian - there were surprisingly few options. Our waiter was not particularly helpful when... More

Slightly outside of the downtown area (5 minutes), this local favorite is worth seeking out. Nice menu of traditional and specials. Calming stream with sound of running water makes for a very romantic or quiet atmosphere. Friendly service makes for a pleasant experience.

The setting is simply divine: the restaurant is located off the road, and is litterally hanging over a waterfall. You can see and hear its presence, which creates a heavenly sense of serenity, tranqility and harmonious oneness with nature. The service is professionally subtle and greceful. The menu is well balanced with items ranging from meats to poultry, to game... More

...and the delicious food to compliment it! Dana is an experienced and creative Chef. I love his sweetbreads and the way he presents 3-4 deliciously prepared vegetables/starch on the plate with each entree. He has a knowledgeable staff and extensive wine list. Desserts are irresistible as well. Go!

Lovely atmosphere and fine French food. Ask for a table by the water - the rocks and waterfall are wonderfu.

Beautiful setting with some tables overlooking the falls and flume of Toll gate brook. Excellent menu with choices like frog's legs and sweetbreads. All courses are well prepared. Service is attentive and professional with experienced waitstaff. Pricey but worth it.

The view of the river is mesmerizing as you enjoy attentive service and outstanding food in a little quiet and hidden part of the mountain. Nice to get away if it is busy on the mountain or in Manchester. Best crab cakes I have had by far ,,,

Only slightly off the beaten path. Beautiful setting. Exemplary service. Great food. We have eaten here 3 times - and we will be back for more. Great date night - leave the kids at home!
