Late lunch in Vermont

Stopped in for a late lunch - they stop serving lunch at 2:30 and we arrived at 2:15. They were gracious and did not mention this when we were seated. We ordered a burger and the Russian Reuben. The items arrived promptly and were delicious. The pastrami was flavorful and delicate. This small... read more

The place is small but the food is fresh and very good. The women that work there are very pleasant. We were their May 10 (Mothers Day) and May 12 for breakfast. It wasn`t that crowded , must be the time of the year. Will definitely be going again next time we are in Manchester.

Tiny little cafe that is apparently very popular. Every time I go, it's packed. The women who own/run it are very efficient and pragmatic, running the place with impressive efficiency, but can be brusque and abrupt. They don't give the impression that they are terribly happy to see me walk in the door. I always feel like apologizing for showing... More

Our family loves the rooster cafe for breakfast and lunch. We have been coming here for years. In our last trip we went for lunch and devoured their vegetable soup and lamb gyro. My daughter had the mac and cheese and asked for seconds! The menu has so many options and each is better than the next. Turkey sandwish with... More

We took a drive from Albany,NY to Manchester, VT yesterday to enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery. Got to Manchester and decided to get lunch. We tried numerous restaurants and found only long wait times ahead of us... we remembered passing the Little rooster Cafe and decided to stop there on our way back. It was after 2:00 and there... This is a very nice little restaurant. The blueberry pancakes were great. Reasonably priced and good service. The locals eat here, so you know it is good.

Went to the Little Rooster Cafe on one of the mornings while in Manchester. If you want a home cooked hot and fresh breakfast to start off your day start at the Rooster !! The staff are so hospitable and the food was delicious at a reasonable price.. don't hesitate to go here..

The menu offered some very traditional items as well as some culinary uniqueness! I loved my homemade turkey burger! However, my daughter wishes there was a slightly better children's menu.

It was an average and fairly expensive lunch. We had just missed breakfast and were firmly reminded about the time! The salad was small and served with an extremely scarce and mild goat cheese. The salmon served with potatoes and beets was well cooked. Looking at other tables, it seems that the specialties of the cooks are more versed toward... More
