Unique

The menu offered some very traditional items as well as some culinary uniqueness! I loved my homemade turkey burger! However, my daughter wishes there was a slightly better children's menu.

It was an average and fairly expensive lunch. We had just missed breakfast and were firmly reminded about the time! The salad was small and served with an extremely scarce and mild goat cheese. The salmon served with potatoes and beets was well cooked. Looking at other tables, it seems that the specialties of the cooks are more versed toward... More

We had a great lunch here and loved the theme. I enjoyed my "Crispy Art" salad and my husband had the special brisket sandwich. Both tasted good. The food came fast and the service was attentive. Our server gave us a verbal kids menu but I wish a little more effort was made to accomodate them considering the high price... More

When we first moved to Manchester, we saw Rachel Ray do a review of The Rooster Café on her visit here, so we decided to give it a try. Yes, it's small and you often have to wait a spell for a seat. But if Heaven serves Corned Beef Hash, the recipe came from the Rooster Café. For me, once... More

Manchester, VT is a bustling town full of brand-name outlets; it's easy to overlook this small, unpretentious looking cafe. Do yourself a favor and seek it out the next time you need more than a quick meal -- a meal you can sit and savor. Although a friend had mentioned this restaurant to me, we had never tried it; it... We had a world class sandwich there on Thursday. Smoked brisket, caramelized onions, peppers, watercress and havarti. I know The Rooster is popular for breakfast, but be sure to go for lunch!

Love the breakfast here. Great selections from the menu and they always have wonderful specials! So check the special board out. They have great coffee too! This is our go to place before we go skiing when we are in Manchester.
