Another wonderful dinner!

We love L'Oustau, the food, the service, and the ambience. Sat outside on their lovely patio and it was perfect. Great French food, and their bread is the best with their whipped butter. Yum! Steak frites always good, salads perfect, and the mussels good and plentiful with frites.

No towers of constructed manipulated architectural entertainment resembling food. This is the real thing. Authentic, delicious, flavorful, recognizable bistro food. Everything was perfect in its honest and unpretentious way, from the room temp sweet butter with excellent plain baguette bread to the Valhrona pots de creme at the end. Service was direct and attentive. Our second time back and I... More

This restaurant was in a nice location. We booked thru open table with a message that it was a birthday celebration. We arrived and sat outside very lovely. Fire pit was on which added a nice ambiance to the dining experience. The service was excellent. The food was exceptional. The bread was great, the cocktails were good a bit pricey... More

By far the best restaurant in the Manchester Vt area The duck is outstanding and as good as any French rest. In any major city Decor is nice and the servers were knowledgeable and efficient

I love French cuisine. I am from Philadelphia and miss the fine restaurant Le Bec Fin, which closed after some 40 years. I have vacationed in the Green Mountains of Vermont for two decades and recently bought a second home here. Manchester Center is a beautiful upscale locale where Mary Todd Lincoln summered at the Equinox Hotel (still very elegant)... More

The host was quite attentive, but the waitress catered to a another table ( who gave a recipe for a cocktail w exact measurements, loud and obnoxious, so we had to wait for our drinks while his was concocted) nice ambiance otherwise, you could watch the impressive small kitchen for a fairly large restaurant. I was not impressed with the... More

My wife and I visited Brasserie l'Oustau for Sunday brunch. It was hard to choose from the menu, so much looked good. We settled on the prix fixe selections, starting with a frisee salad with poached egg, then one order each (swapping midway) of grilled king salmon on a bed of seafood risotto, and omelette with cheese, grilled asparagus, frites,... My husband and I stopped here for lunch, it was absolutely perfect from the time we were welcomed into the restaurant until the time we left. The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely amazing. This was one of the best meals we have ever had! It really was that great!

Madame and I had lunch at Brasserie L'Oustau today, our third or fourth visit, and it was wonderful once again. We sat outdoors on the terrace, enjoyed frisee and lardons (on her side of the table) and a wonderful wild mushroom bisque to begin, followed by moule frites and a shared dessert of profiteroles. A bottle of tavel rose made... More

I've eaten this beautiful Classic in NYC, France and all over the country and this by far was the best. The sauce was different and accompanied the duck wonderfully. The service was impeccable. We will be back again !
