Amazing french food

After a day of hiking in Green Mountains, my gf and I were in the mood for some good food; and Brasserie L'Oustau didn't disappoint. The bread was warm and the butter was just right (a testament to a great restaurant). The wine list is extensive but not pricey. The food was delicious... read more

Met the owner.. he was very hospitable.. It was obvious that the servers are well trained and knowledgeable. Our appetizers were absolutely wonderful. Try the beat salad.. wow was it great.. then our mains came out and everything was well presented and tasted wonderful. My only criticism was that the steak frites I think the chef was a little heavy... More

We had a fabulous meal. We were a group of 8 so were able to try many of the menu items. The french onion soup was excellent as was the steak tartare, the salmon starter and house made fries. They offered a prix fixe menus with good options including their excellent creme brûlée. If I lived closer, I would go... More

It was raining and we had been driving for a while looking for a perfect place to eat when we spotted this restaurant. We went in and was greeted by a very warm and friendly gentleman. The staff were so accommodating. And yes, the food was excellent!

We followed the 4-star trip advisor reviews here for dinner but it simply wasn't up to par. Owner/Maitre D' was so kind and some of the dishes were good but most were not and the overall experience was simply poor. Though the restaurant wasn't busy (probably 1/3 full), the kitchen took a really long time to serve us. We ordered... More

Good cuisine (not average and not very good) served in a true Parisian brasserie with its large size and atmosphere! “Dommage”-too bad, the music was quite low! The staff and management were exceedingly pleasant and accommodating. In the middle of dinner, they even moved a couple who was commenting on the low light on their table! The chef creates a... this is a great classy French restaurant in the midst of lower priced and lower quality restaurants in the area. Great personalized service and friendly atmosphere. I didn't give it 5 stars because I think it's a bit overpriced for the area, also we almost got overcharged if we didn't catch the mistake on the bill. But in general, if... More

Extensive, creative menu with nice wines, although not many offerings for vegetarians. The kitchen and dining area are in the same space so when you leave you smell greasy. All that said, I'd try it again.

We enjoyed a very nice meal at Brasserie. Food and cocktails were fine, service was a little sketchy at first but improved as the night went on. One of the better spots in Manchester area. We would return.
