Good Food and Service

Mulligans is a great restaurant in Manchester, Vermont. My family visits the area annually over Columbus Day Weekend and while there are many restaurants in the area, part of our traditional the past 4 or 5 years has been to come to Mulligans. The off is consistently good, the service is... read more

Driving down the streets of Manchester, it’s easy to spot this establishment. Formerly a family dwelling, this grey house has been converted into a pub. Instead of one large dining area, each of the rooms have a unique theme about them (so there’s one designed like a hunting lodge, one which smells of cinnamon, etc.) The bar section is separate... Manchester in mud season has limited options in the evening. OK. I was looking to catch the Red Sox-Yankee game on a Friday evening in May, and have a bite and a beer. Supposedly, this is a sports bar, but apparently baseball isn't played - or watched - in Vermont. OK. The food looks like pub food found the country... More

Visited upon recommendation of inn I stayed at. Had a duck special on night one which was cooked to perfection. Also had take out Greek salad on a different night which was a very large serving, all ingredients fresh.

Stopped here after an event at the bookstore (8:30pm-ish). We waited & waited & waited at the hostess stand, finally walking to the bar to seat ourselves. Again, waited & waited & waited with the bartender completely ignoring us. We finally asked the bartender if we needed to sit at the bar, and he said "Actually you were supposed to... More

It's been years since visiting Manchester, VT, but Mulligan's brought back some good memories. Visited for lunch and was glad we did. Great selection, reasonable prices-- service and atmosphere made it! Delicious and good portion meals. Would have like to come back later in the day for a beer at the bar.. but our plans did not allow. Located just... More

The food is at best "ok". Had the bleu burger (not bad), quesadillas (terrible), French dip (cold and fatty). Service in the bar would be better if it was non-existent. The last two times we have eaten in the bar the dark haired older lady with a pony tail has been as rude as can be. Everything from hardly acknowledging... More

Love the boxing ring in the main dining area. Service was good and food was good. Food was not great but we liked the various rooms to choose from to eat in. Each one was charming in its own way. Hostess was very sweet !
