Good Thai!

Excellent dinner and service, warm atmosphere. We started with chicken satay and delicious papaya salads. Yellow curry and Pad Woon Sen were both very good. Unfortunately, the baby carrots in the Pad Woon Sen were somewhat moldy, but when removed they meal was wonderful. Well worth a visit.

Overall, the food was very good and priced reasonably. We ordered the Pad Si-Ew with chicken and the Red Curry with chicken. Both main courses were were quite tasty. I really enjoyed the Red Curry which achieved that perfect balance between flavor and heat that is sometimes hard to find in Thai cuisine. We also ordered a shrimp tom yum... More

The restaurant is centrally located in Manchester and has a warm and tastefully decorated ambience. Despite being a Monday lunch time, the restaurant was busy with what appeared to be mainly locals. Upon being seated, we were promptly and politely attended by the waiter. I ordered the chicken satay followed by the Pad Thai with tofu. The satay was very... More

Admittedly, I am a picky eater and was vastly outnumbered when choosing a restaurant in Manchester. When I initially looked at the menu I was scared. Not because I didn't think everyone else was going to enjoy their food but because I was afraid I wasn't going to like my food. Everyone was excited. I ordered a beer from Thailand... More

I live here, I live here and I love thai food. I was enthusiastic initially to find a thai food close to home as there aren't many oriental restaurants here. The food was mediocre the service was far below mediocre, I read some service concerns in this site before I went here and was surprised to see that they were... More

We have been coming back to Thai Basil for a few years now and the food is always great. The restaurant has been very crowded as of late which is a good thing and the food quality has remained very good. Love to sit by the window tables and watch the snow fall during dinner.

I love Thai Basil. We've ordered across the menu, and the food is fresh and clean tasting (not oily or overcooked). We've never been disappointed. Great martinis too. FYI: If you as for "really spicy," your food will come out REALLY spicy. They are great about preparing the heat to your palate. My only complaint is during weekends when they... More

Decor needs a little updating but I was very impressed with the food and great service. Go for their specials - you won't be disappointed! The cold basil roll was awesome. Their "spicy rating was pretty accurate but *** was as hot as I could take - blowing your nose at the the table is not attractive! I had the... More

Wonderful, authentic Thai food right here in Manchester, Vermont. This place is so good, it rates right up there with any great That restaurant in either New York or Boston. It's that good! The waitstaff is awesome too!!

Not the very best Thai I've had but I was giddy just to find a decent Thai restaurant in southern Vermont. What might be "average" in NYC or NJ seems "very good" in this locale. That being said, Thai Basil served up yummy soup, appetizer and entree (I had the green curry noodles). Mostly I was grateful that the restaurant... More
