What's better than a Guinness? Only a Guinness with a clover imprinted on the foam (see picture). Nice touch, Bob! I was up with a friend for some early season skiing and we had heard about McGrath's. Reviews say that the Guinness Stew and Shepherd's Pie are the top dishes. When I tried to ask Bob the bartender/server which of... More

We were told to go here by our hotel for dinner. Not an extensive menu to choose from but I had the Irish stew in beer and it was pretty good. I also had the Apple Crisp for desert that was very good. The live music was of Irish jig in nature and the bar tenders were extremely friendly and... More

I have been going to Killington for many, many years but never considered McGrath's for dinner. Glad my buddy suggested it. It was good not to have a heavy dinner. I started with a fresh Caesar salad and followed up with the Guinness Stew which was excellent. You need to order a perfectly poured Guinness as well. Very casual place,... More

The atmosphere of Irish posters and pictures scattered all around adds to the feeling the wood and stone construction gives of being in a pub in old-time Ireland. The pub is built into the mountain, giving a very natural feel to rooms, which is complemented by the old wooden walls. The staff are so friendly and the menu consists of... More

This is the second year that the Inn and the Brewery have done a beer tasting dinner. It was excellent - first time I have ever eaten goat and their chef cooked it to perfection. The dessert - chocolate pâté was to die for served with a side dollop of lemon goats milk whip cream and a goats milk caramel... More

What a great find! The service was friendly and fast. We had a few beers, potato skins as an appetizer, guiness stew for dinner, and creme brûlée and apple crumble for dessert. Everything was good, but the stew was fantastic! Warm, hearty, and full of beef and veg. It was cold and windy that night, so it definitely hit the... More

Dinner here Sep 30th. We asked our hotel receptionist were the locals ate, and she steered us to McGrath’s—superb in every way! An authentic Irish pub with equally authentic Irish pub food. We opted for the house specials—Shepard’s Pie and Guinness Stew—both were delicious! And prices were very reasonable. Bob, both our server and the bartender, was a great host.... More

At the end of a long day of touring, is there anything better than a little Irish music and beer? I might have driven by this place, but a friend highly recommended, knowing my Irish background. It's located up along the rock cliff, and actually has been built into the cliff! (Rock walls in part of the pub--one of many... More

great hospitality, food and local historian. We were in town for 2 days and because of the great food and Owen's welcoming personality we ate at the restaurant twice!

We went here as the hotel we were staying in could not fit us in for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. The food was lovely and great value but what made it was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly (special mention to Lucille!) and they went out of their way to help us - the owner (murray) even dropped us... More
