Great Food, Decent Service

Let me start by saying, we were here on the off-season. Killington is like a ghost town in summer, and we were staying an hour away in late August. A friend recommended Garlic, so we made the trip over the hills and through the woods. It was also a dark and stormy night. No, I don't have some... read more

HUGE selection of tapas and great drinks and service! Friendly laid back atmosphere, we sat in the bar area.

Seven of us turned up in late December at their busiest time with no reservation but we were happily accommodated after a short wait at the bar where we were served excellent cocktails. We loved the whole baked garlic starter served with fresh bread and oil, fabulous. One of our party had the 16oz meatball, which he gamely ploughed through... More

I went to dinner with two skiing buddies of mine at the Garlic on a busy Saturday night. It was the same day as the 2015 Dos Equis Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge. We had a reservation for 7:45pm. I've never been to this restaurant and didn't know what to expect. We arrived a little before our reservation time. There is... More

The food is really exceptional. Every meal I have had here has been great! The atmosphere is low lit and comfy. Try not to go right at dinner time 7-9pm if possible. The waits can be Very long! If that is unavoidable then just suck it up and wait. It's worth it.

The regular menu is pretty standard and a little pricey but they serve a nice selection of Tapas (only) in the bar, and these are really good. As expected, there are lots of dishes that are based on garlic, but they also have a variety of other stuff. I liked the wings and the shrimp, and the calamari from the... More

We could smell the garlic from the parking lot! As soon as we got out of the car, my son said he didn't know if this was going to be too much for him. Boy did he eat those words! This was one of the BEST meals we had on our vacation. Matt served us Garlic Mussels, Wild Mushroom Pasta... More

We went to the Garlic for tapas after skiing and it was great! It was two for one tapas and what a deal! It was a perfect small snack/ meal before we headed back to shower and have dinner hours later. I've had dinner at the Garlic also on past trips, and it, too, was good. The wine selection was... Second year I'm visiting this place. Pretty good food. I enjoyed a roasted vegetable appetizer; however, being roasted vegetables, it should have been served hot instead of "room temperature". The menu clearly says this, but it still needs some heat. Fish and cow meat were good. With two apps and entrees and a dessert, we were looking at close to... More
