Had a dinner here while staying in Jeffersonville. Two local Vermont beers on tap, very good. Shared spinach dip appetizer - delish. My fiance had french onion soup and raved about. I ordered the soup of the day, cheddar potato ale but never received it. I never said a word about it as I was so stuffed! He ordered chicken... More

Wonderful quality food in a rustic setting. It brings you back to the "old town" feel. The service is very good and the variety of food is very good. We have been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. Every time we go to our timeshare once a year we visit 158 Main at least once.... More

I was skeptical about trying this restaurant, because I had read quite a few bad Tripadvisor reviews that claimed terrible service and mediocre food. I did not have any such bad experiences at all. I stopped in at 7pm on a Friday night during the first weekend of December. Not exactly peak season, but it wasn't a ghost town either.... More

158 Main is a quaint restaurant in a small town. We arrived around 1:00 on a Saturday. The place was hopping. We were seated after a couple of minutes. The seafood chowder was very good with great flavor - lobster broth based with shrimp, salmon, clams. The flatbread was just okay. The veggies (overcooked) were served on a rather thick... More

We stumbled upon this quaint, unassuming restaurant while driving through Jeffersonville. I had the Pilgrim sandwich and a cup of seafood chowder. Having lived in a seaside town my entire life, I can attest that this was the most amazing seafood chowder I have ever tasted. It was rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor and had generous portions of seafood.... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by an employee working at Smuggler's Notch Resort. We were not disappointed. The only disappointment is that we waited until the last full day at Smuggler's Notch. The service is typical Vermont small town restaurant. Relaxed. no hurry, and allows time for you to go over the menu. The staff was attentive to our... More

As reviewed by most, this place is great. We ate there at lunch and the staff there is always hustling around making sure the patrons are getting good (to excellent) service. My wife had the half chicken salad sandwich with a small Caesar salad and a cup of Seafood Chowder (158 Main Special). She enjoyed all three. Now, on to... More

Just up the road from Smugglers' Notch Resort, this restaurant serves up a delicious Sunday brunch. I took my wife and two young children and we all really enjoyed the food. I went with the steak and eggs which come with home fries, toast, and eggs. The home fries were addicting. The kids had French toast. The food is affordable.... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local resident. We were here late in the evening, and although there were several customers, we had no trouble getting seated. We both started with the seafood chowder which was excellent, and I added the salmon as an entre. It was also delicious. We were so impressed with the quality of the... More
