Delicious breakfast

We went for a late breakfast on a recent weekend trip to Smuggler's Notch. The restaurant itself feels ancient -- you can feel the floor shift as people walk by, the chairs aren't exactly comfortable, and so on. But the food was above average all around -- including bacon that made the transition... read more

We have to drive 30 minutes to enjoy this restaurant but it's absolutely worth the drive. My only wish is that they opened earlier

When we checked in for the week at Smugglers Notch we asked for some recommendations for dinner since none of the restaurants at Smugglers were open. We decided to try 158 Main. This is a bakery, restaurant, and there is a pizza place on the third floor. When I opened the menu I saw the New England turkey dinner and... More

Most outstanding for its very generous heaps of toppings. Pizza is very good but restaurant is apparently undiscovered though huge inside. There is the main restaurant and bakery downstairs. We didn't go there. I think the amount of toppings is the most piled onto a pizza I've ever seen. They could use a little more sauce, but otherwise excellent pizza.

As a local, we enjoy having a decent eatery in our little village. The food is usually pretty good; the menu is actually quite extensive. The quality of the food is variable though usually good, but occasionally we are served a meal which could have been better prepared. Breaks fats are always top quality. The waitstaff are friendly and helpful.... More

Looking at the place you won't expect much and I have to say, we almost went back to the resort. What a mistake that would have been. The atmosphere is rustic, but very comfortable. It gives you a sense of the Jeffersonville itself. Service was excellent, but not overbearing and very friendly. The food was excellent and I was pleasantly... More

Heading out of Smugglers Notch for a day in Burlington, we stopped at 158 Main Restaurant and Bakery for breakfast. It was a Sunday morning, a little after 9, and when we arrived there were already 2 parties waiting ahead of us. This appears to be 158 Main’s biggest, maybe only problem – no waiting area and a seeming nonexistent... More

This was a food highlight for us on our 6 days in the area! 158 Main provides a pleasant setting, and at least on a Saturday morning, active vibe with a mix of locals and tourists. The food was phenomenal highlighted by a variety of homemade breads. Truly the BEST creamed chipped beef on toast I have ever tasted!

We stopped here for breakfast before skiing and liked it so much we came back the next morning. Good coffee and most of the food seems homemade and local. The menu has lots of choices. It is about a 10 minute drive from smugglers notch village.
