The Fair Haven Inn has been in business for generations. All of their entres that we have tried have been good and their seafood is exceptional. This is a fairly upscale restaurant (linen tablecloths and napkins, good bread and salads, a handsome dessert cart, etc.) and a bevy of attentive Grecian maidens as waitstaff. Fairly expensive. We had one drink,... More

Chicken sausage lentil soup was so good! Eggplant sandwich was very good. I asked for no roll but it still came out on the roll. Had to deconstruct it but it was still tasty. Burgers were good but ordered them medium and they were served very very pink and almost too juicy. Didnt eat the middles. Coleslaw was very good.... More

This restaurant seems like it's being run to an old-fashioned high standard that I just loved, without being very expensive at all. The service here is truly outstanding, from the moment you are seated to the hot steamy scented finger towel you are presented with at the end of the meal. The meal starts with crackers served with dishes of... More

Nice fish, excellent steaks, great value, good drinks and the best service possible. The food is excellent fresh and healthy, after all we are talking mediteranean food. I have been a regular customer for many years and not even once have I been disappointed.

I have been here many times and have never had a bad experience. The host and staff are excellent and very accomodating. The moussaka is very good and they have the best Calamari around. The fish is always very fresh and tasty. They also have a bar menu that is full of great items and is very reasonably priced. The... More

We recently had the opportunity to dine at the Fair Haven Inn while getting together with friends. Having dined here years ago, I was surprised to see a new building. It was nicely decorated inside and out. Upon approaching the hostess and announcing the name for reservations, our party was invited to hang our coats in a cloakroom. The dining... More

Always an exceptional meal! Try the double thick lamb chops with spinach -my favorite ! Also love chicken florentine!! Alfredo sauce is to die for!! Only issue would be that drinks could stand to be larger. Small wine and mixed drink glasses.

What a great gem here in little old Fairhaven. This is worth the drive from wherever you are to Fairhaven. To keep it in perspective for those of you outside of Vermont, driving to anywhere in VT (like Fairhaven), is nothing compared to say, driving from LA to SF in CA. In fact, driving from San Francisco to Sacramento would... More

We were there for our 44th anniversary. The interior is very classy. Servers are friendly, efficient and prompt. For starters, you are served a relish tray of chick peas and horseradish cottage cheese. They are also know for their pickled beets. We had appetizers; the calm sampler and the escargot. Both were delicious. For entrees we had fresh steamed lobster... More

The menu had interesting chicken, beef and seafood choices- many with a Greek flair which was a bit unusual for the area and style of restaurant. We were served a deliciously unusual complimentary chickpea relish and pickled beets. Our entrees were top quality and well prepared. Service was unusual in that we had 4 different servers tending us, and all... More
