Reserved a table for 6:30 for Father's Day dinner for 3. Arrived right on time and was kind of surprised when we had to wait in the hallway almost 10 minutes while they "got our table ready". Loved the tasty relish tray and then salad that they bring right away. We all ordered different fish selections for entrees and while... More

From the first moment you see this place til the last moment you drive away you will be impressed by the level of service and attention to detail. The front porch is filled to the brim with beautiful baskets of flowers. The entry and dining rooms are sparkling clean and well-decorated. The food is American and Greek but all delicious.... More

Fair Haven is a charming, little town a few short miles from the western, New York border and the Fair Haven Inn has been an intrinsic part of the town for almost 40 years. We had reservations (a wise choice) for 7pm on a Saturday night in early February and when we arrived, despite the falling snow, the place was... More

We arrived in town around dinner time. By the time we checked in to The Marble Mansion and were settled in our room, it was early evening. Greg at the inn highly recommended the Fair Haven Inn - a plus being we could walk there on a gorgeous night. The atmosphere was warm and very homey. The menu was more... More

As we arrived at our hotel @ 6 p.m. It was dark and all we saw is the usual chain restaurants in the area. I asked the clerk @ the hotel where we could go for good food where local people go and not touristy. She said if we didn't mind a 30 min. drive from Rutland, this was the... More

Out with a fairly large group. Slow paced / relaxing venue. Many different options to choose from, priced reasonable. If you are looking for a laid back place to chill with some decent food choices this is the place for you.

We live within a few minutes drive of the Fair Haven Inn, but have never made the trip before. We wanted to try something different for a birthday celebration, and this ended up being the perfect choice. We went on a Tuesday night, which sometimes is not a very busy night in restaurants, and sometimes service and food suffers. In... More
