We decided to have a special dinner and chose The Dorset Inn. Really all that we hoped for, super food friendly and efficient service and a selection do beverages that is truly incredible, great wine list ,a selection of single malt scotch that I challenge anyone worldwide to match all topped off by deserts that were awsome. It's a solid standby that delivers good food in a fairly stifling environment. The value is good if not outstanding though (like most of the places up here) the real action seems to take place in the tavern where the locals hang. Good mussels, interesting (and typically overpriced) wine list.

We had a great dinner at the Dorset Inn. The dining room is filled with antiques and fresh flowers, really lovely. The menu has something for everyone, ranging from seafood to fried chicken to a few more casual choices like lobster roll and black bean burger. There is also a large wine list and a menu of specialty cocktails. My... More

We were there in the fall and the first thing we noticed was the wonderful scent from a pumpkin candle. We even bought one. The atmosphere is very warm and cosy. The food was delicious and the prices fairly reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

As part of my package a complimentary breakfast was provided at the Dorset inn which was a short walk away from the barrows house inn. The food was delicious and appeared lovingly prepared. Like my granny was in the kitchen. Homemade sausage patties topped off my meal of French toast. The ambience was very country inn meets city chic. Service... More

Arriving without reservations w/ we still able to obtain a seat outdoor on the veranda and looking over the village green. We were early for the curtain time at the local summer stock theatre in Dorset and we were in no hurry. Having expressed this to our waitress she allowed considerable time between drinks, appetizers, and the entrees. All were... More

Thank you so much for your kind words. Our culinary team and service staff work very hard to create great exceptional dining experiences for our guests. We will share this review with all of our staff. It is idyllic on the Dorset Village Green and made even better when the weather makes sitting on the porch magical! More

We went to the Dorset Inn for our anniversary dinner. The inn is lovely and the dining room is a great atmosphere with antiques and a nice fireplace. The waitress was excellent and provided great service. The wine menu had sufficient selections and we both had wines which were very good. The menu has some nice selections and there were... More

Our family of five, with specific dietary preferences was celebrating a special occasion. We entered the classically appointed dining room past the marble sidewalks in this historic spot where we were very cordially greeted and seated. Each of our specific requests was quickly responded to by a very capable waitress. The food was excellent as well as the cocktails and... More

I had a fabulous dinner at the Dorset Inn over the weekend for their annual Kentucky Derby party! It was such fun. Great appetizers as we waited for the race, fun atmosphere. It is always an elegant New England atmosphere. After the race there was a wonderful Derby themed menu in the dining room which was decorated in style. The... More
