Consistently great food and service!

The food and service were exceptional two years in a row. Tried both the pub and formal dining room.

The atmosphere was relaxed but a nice. The service was excellent and not obtrusive while still being on point. Their Martinis are most excellent and the steamed mussels to die for. Just the right amount of smoked bacon and a surprise of fennel. Unfortunately the main course of fillet was not as good. While cooked perfectly medium rare it was... More

We dined at the Dorset Inn on a cold and blustery January evening. The public spaces at the Inn are charming, and the dining room, warmed by a beautiful fire in the large fireplace, was very cozy and inviting. We had a delicious meal with an outstanding bottle of wine from an excellent wine list. Our server was exceptional. She... More

We were seated in the sunny tavern with a fire blazing for brunch. Patrick was our server and he started us off with a signature Bloody Mary and one of the many Vermont micro brews. I had the Vermontey Cristo which was golden brown and delicious with smokey ham, turkey and melty cheddar cheese. Served, of course, with pure Vermont... More

This is our favorite restaurant in the area. Food is amazing and service as well. Call ahead though, especially for breakfast.

Good food, atmosphere and service in a fine old inn. Staff is friendly, warm fire, good drinks, great liver and onions and my wife enjoyed the donut sundae, thanks!

This is arguably the most beautiful, well-managed and most balanced of all historic inns, at least in New England which has more of these than any other region, It being the oldest continually-operated inns in Vermont, one would expect lots of tell tale signs of its aging, but we saw none. It is beautifully maintained and prestine, beautifully decorated with... More

Food and service are very good. Seated at a table in front of the fireplace on a chilly fall evening in one of the prettiest villages in Vermont, my husband and I had a delightful and memorable evening. We did not stay at the Inn, but enjoyed our dinner to the utmost.

This was our fourth visit to the Dorset Inn for dinner and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the food is delicious. We were very pleased to see that Dorset Inn has maintained it's Vermont Country In atmosphere.

My husband, black lab and I had an amazing stay at the Dorset Inn in June for a trip up to see my niece's graduation nearby. I had picked the Inn for the location in the lovely town of Dorset and because they allow dogs. The grounds of the Inn are gorgeous and the restaurant is a MUST. The staff... More
