I really like this diner. It is definitely NOT a greasy spoon establishment. I have eaten both breakfast and lunch here on several occasions, and have never been disappointed. Today I had home-made split pea soup, and one of the most luxe and delicious chicken salad sandwiches I have ever eaten in a restaurant. When I complimented the server on... More

My husband took me here for my birthday brunch per my request. It was his first time here, my second and they did not disappoint. Though I was tempted to have the same thing that I had last time. The waitress helped me chose something similar and absolutely amazing. I had the Irish Eggs Benedict which uses their homemade Corned... More

If you like Diners, you have found your Utopia. Great food, unbelievable service, great prices in the atmosphere of a true Diner! College students fill the place because of the large servings, with low costs.

We went to the Athens Diner for breakfast while visiting Vermont. It's a cute, old timey diner, and the prices were very reasonable. My husband had the Vermonter Skillet and I had an omelet. It was no big deal to them to let me tweak the menu a bit to alter my omelet at no additional charge and I really... More

I visited the Athens diner with my mom and sister. Between us we ordered a tuna salad sandwich, a bowl of potato salad, a chicken salad sandwich with potato wedges and some kind of greek soup. My sister loved the soup. The sandwiches are huge and overstuffed so much that you end up using your fork to scoop up what... More

We have been getting out more and more because my Mom is terminally ill. I had never been but was in the mood for home cooked breakfast. They did NOT disappoint. I had The Vermonter Skillet and The All in One. They were both fantastic. Her homemade biscuit and the French Toast was the best we've ever had. Their homemade... More

Good food, good prices and a lot of laughing people. Locals go there so that tells you something.Up the hill across from McDonald.

We've been frequent visitors to this property for years, back when it was "Libby's" and in its new life as "Athens Diner." The basic "diner fare" is OK, and their gyros are excellent. They've slipped along the "edges" though - onion rings, out of a freezer bag, were undercooked and tasteless; fries were salty and frozen; pie was frozen; drinks... More

I love a good diner, but not at highway robbery prices! For an egg white Western omelette and coffee, I was charged just pennies short of $12. Yikes! Considering that I only got the equivalent of three eggs, a skimpy handful of veggies with ham, toast, and so-so home fries, I should have eaten at home and saved my money... More
