We stopped by for lunch on a snowy saturday afternoon. Alice's is a cozy spot located at the Common in quant Chester, Vt. Had a great lunch off the appetizer menu. Loved the grilled portobello mushroom cap with smoked ham, spinach and balsamic glaze topped with fontina cheese and garlic. The crab cakes and onion soup were good, too.

This restaurant is a gem. Beautiful building houses this quaint bistro which has fantastic food. The menu offers diverse selections and the waitstaff is extremely helpful. Definitely stop in if you are in the area.

Alice's very special chef takes great pride in presenting dishes that reflect the use of high quality and fresh ingredients. The menu is extensive and the daily specials should not be overlooked. No need to eat anywhere but Alice's while in Chester.

Just a delightful Victorian venue with an enticing menu and a very friendly staff On the Green in Chester, Vermont. The eggplant appetizer was plentiful for a delicious lunch with an apple/cranberry crisp for dessert and a lovely cup of tea, turned a rainy day into a cozy, warm delightful respite from sight-seeing and shopping.
