Wish We Had Stopped Sooner

We have driven past MacLaomainn's Scottish Pub many times over the years but not at times to eat a meal. Today, we decided to eat a late lunch/early dinner and stop at MacLaomainn's. What a wonderful decision. The food, service and establishment were all above our expectations. We have now... read more

We were driving from New Hampshire to Vermont around lunch time. Difficult to fine little towns along the way, as it is very mountainous, and the villages are few and far between. We came into the lovely little town of Chester, VT and looked for a place for lunch. First time every trying a Scotch egg. It was delicious and... More

Food was very good, but was crowded. The servers were working very hard to keep things moving. They offer burgers, sandwiches plus Scottish dishes.

Being in Vermont, we expected one Scottish menu item and maybe one Scottisk drink. No, no. Full menu! We had fish pie and Tatties and Bangers. Both tasty and good value. Good beer selection. Kids were welcome....no problem. Some reviewers complained about rude, bad service. We had the opposite experience.

Dear friends love this place and gather here with family every time they visit the area. Based on their reviews my husband and I lunched here on a weekday. The space is small and cozy (smaller than I'd expected - not sure I'd want to be there when full due to probable noise levels). The beer-on-tap list is impressive: I... More

I have been here many times over the few years since their grand opening. At first they were caring and friendly, the food great and the waitstaff a welcoming sight. These days the faces change constantly and so does the service. Coming by for a late supper, the wait person rushed us and could not even wait to get off... More

Okemo ski visit was spring conditions at its worst! Left early and found a Scottish pub! Are they serious? Went in to see and, had a great time. The place had a fun and rustic feel. The menu was complete. Couldn't try all of the fun titled items but - steak pie was good, Mary Queen of Scotts well done... More

My family and I loved this place. The food was great and as was the Scottish hard cider I got. We talked with the owner for a while and he was a great guy. The table we sat at was next to the big window that had all these Scottish magazines we couldn't help but rifle through. Definitely a must... More

We really enjoyed our lunch at MacLaomainn's Scottish Pub. The food was very affordable, tasty and different. In addition, the staff was very friendly.
