A very Pleasant Summer Stop

There's a wonderful outside deck where you can sit for drinks and dinner. Service was prompt, friendly, and appropriately attentive. The food was good pub fare and reasonably priced. The nachos appetizer is quite tasty and a large size is good for four in addition to your dinner item. They have... read more

Great Scottish atmosphere in a quaint New England town. Offers outdoors seating. Very good pub food and many beers to choose from. Very welcoming staff and service is very good.

Cozy Scottish pub offering a wide range of dining choices. I am especially partial to their Steak Pie and get it almost every time. It is consistently delicious. Nice selection of craft beer on tap. Excellent variety of single malt Scotch. MacLaomainn's is one of our favorite places to stop whenever we can make it there!

The waitresses wore kilts, the British Open was on TV, the sandwiches had definite Scottish names. I had the one named for the restaurant, and it was a good, solid grilled cheese with bacon. Busy lunch spot, I'm sure it is popular with the locals.

I stop in for a pint and wee dram when I'm on my way back home from points south. A welcoming stop with good food and a great selection of draught and bottled Scottish beer and a decent whiskey selection. The owner is a fellow rugby fanatic so there is usually a game on the TV or if no rugby... More

We like everything about MacLaomainn's -- the friendly atmosphere, the background music, the service, and the food. Sometimes there's a special we choose, but often it's the Angus Burger, the one-person pizza, the beef chili, or the scallops au gratin -- and of course the real Scottish dishes. Ånd the apple pie! And the cream of tomato cheddar soup --... More

Wonderfully prepared salads, burgers, and unique Scotish/Celt fare. A busy spot with great service. Truly a pub atmosphere and in summer a nice deck to dine on!

I live north of Chester, but every time I'm in town, I stop here. The steak and chicken pies are to die for. If you're really hungry order both!

We have driven past MacLaomainn's Scottish Pub many times over the years but not at times to eat a meal. Today, we decided to eat a late lunch/early dinner and stop at MacLaomainn's. What a wonderful decision. The food, service and establishment were all above our expectations. We have now found a great place in Chester to eat and will... More

We were driving from New Hampshire to Vermont around lunch time. Difficult to fine little towns along the way, as it is very mountainous, and the villages are few and far between. We came into the lovely little town of Chester, VT and looked for a place for lunch. First time every trying a Scotch egg. It was delicious and... More
