Had dinner at MacLaomainn's after a long hike. It was time to relax and recover. Started with one of the several Scottish brews available, followed by the fish pie entree. Never had the dish before, but I was very glad I had made this selection. Delicious! Atmosphere is very casual. Would definitely recommend.

Came here for drinks and dinner while staying in Londonderry, was highly recommended. Place was bustling, very busy, so they must be doing something right. Sat at the bar, service was slow. I had the crab cakes and hubby had the chili. They were "ok", nothing special. I was surprised that we had to wait an unreasonable amount of time... More

This is a small pub (and I mean small-sating for about 50 people in the pub, plus seating at the bar and outside if the weather is nice). The food is good, and runs the gamut from traditional Scottish fare- think Haggis, to burgers and nachos. The bar is also fully stocked, with wine, beer, cocktails, and oh yes- a... More

Our visit to Maclaomainn's Inn was quite unique. It was great sitting outside on the patio to eat and even more fun to see the cook in his Scottish kilt. I thought the chicken pot pie was excellent and the service was great too.

A must see if you are in the area. You will not be sorry! Good sized menu to choose from with lots of different options. Wide array of draught beer that you can't usually find. And last, but not least....some of the finest spirits in the world.

This is an excellent and interesting place to visit. The food is very good and they have an excellent selection of Scotch and beer. I would definitely send my friends here. It's an adventure in this small town.

My husband and I went here during a family vacation. The food was good The service and ambiance made this an outstanding place to relax and unwind during a busy vacation. The whole place has a nice vibe. While it is a pub, it would be fine to bring children here. We sat on the outside patio and there was... More

There are only about 4 Scottish pubs on the US East Coast - 2 in New York City, 1 in Jamaica Plain, Boston, MA and then MacLaomainn's in Chester VT. For food, MacLaomainn's beats the others hands down! The Mince and Potatoes are exactly the same as my own mother made them growing up in Glasgow Scotland. Eating at MacLaomainn's... More

We came upon this place quite by chance when touring Vermont villages. Being Scottish we went in expecting tourist style impressions of Scotland and it's food. We were wrong, the pub is authentic in ambience, furnishings and food. The menu contains mainly Scottish fayre and for those not accustomed to Scottish delicacies such as haggis, mince etc. we urge you... More

We enjoyed our dinner at this pub. The Scottish beers were great!!! We also loved our food. My boyfriend had the steak pie and I had a sandwich with cheddar, baked ham, and apples. They were both wonderful. The inside was cozy and friendly and our waitress was great! We would definitely recommend and return!
