There are only about 4 Scottish pubs on the US East Coast - 2 in New York City, 1 in Jamaica Plain, Boston, MA and then MacLaomainn's in Chester VT. For food, MacLaomainn's beats the others hands down! The Mince and Potatoes are exactly the same as my own mother made them growing up in Glasgow Scotland. Eating at MacLaomainn's... More

We came upon this place quite by chance when touring Vermont villages. Being Scottish we went in expecting tourist style impressions of Scotland and it's food. We were wrong, the pub is authentic in ambience, furnishings and food. The menu contains mainly Scottish fayre and for those not accustomed to Scottish delicacies such as haggis, mince etc. we urge you... More

We enjoyed our dinner at this pub. The Scottish beers were great!!! We also loved our food. My boyfriend had the steak pie and I had a sandwich with cheddar, baked ham, and apples. They were both wonderful. The inside was cozy and friendly and our waitress was great! We would definitely recommend and return!

I've been here three times since January and have enjoyed the food and service every time. Had soup of the day, crab soup which was in a light broth and filled with crab, Scotch egg, full of flavor and a nice sausage taste.Finished with Mince and Tatties. The Mince and Tatties was ground beef sauteed in a thick brown sauce... More

If your not a local business owner or someone rich from out of town these people treat you like dirt . The owners rude and disrespectful and there's a red head waitress resembles an Ogar. Well she absolutely awful - goto the Fullerton or pizza stone . That's a place worth spending your money .

Warm atmosphere and excellent service. Small dining area; had to wait a few minutes for a table. Interesting beer selection and good variety on menu. Pizza and nachos, salads and sandwiches along with traditional Scottish comfort food. Caesar salad had a bit too much dressing; greens became soggy. "Jacobite" sandwich (turkey, cheese, etc.) served on great homemade bread. Chicken and... More

Pub atmosphere, small eating area with excellent service and OK food. Menu interesting and different with obvious Scottish influence. Others may enjoy this "Pub" experience, but not my taste.

Food was great. I had not had bangers and mash that good in decades since I lived in England. The brews were a wide choice of Scottish and local craft. The place is small inside, but as cozy as a true pub should be. Service was good.
