My wife and I came upon MacLaomainn's Scottish Pub while wandering the back roads of Vermont. A Scottish Pub in Chester, VT? We had to try it. The pub has really recreated the look and feel of an authentic neighborhood pub. Once we walked in, we were greeted by the owner wearing a kilt, and soccer was playing on the... More

We had dinner at this wonderful Scotish pub. I had Auld Reekie Stew, and it not like any stew I had ever had before. However, it was delicious, and if I lived in the area, I would be eating it quite regularly.

Ok, my excellent rating had a lot to do with the atmosphere, good selection, and price combined. Really how many places can you get Mince and Tatties?? Many Scottish specialties, and although I don't have a lot of experience with this type of food, everything my husband and I had was really tasty! And not expensive! Will defiantly go back... More

Love the Burgers here. Best around. Nice atmosphere for family or couples. The staff wears kilts too which is fun.

Chicken pie and steak pie were piping hot and good. Portions are not too big. Was ok for us that night, otherwise we would have ordered some dessert. Service was ok. Place is very busy and popular.

From smoked salmon with potato skins perfectly prepared to Steak pie with mashed potatoes and Haggis the entire meal was excellent. A bottle of thorny Thistle hard cider topped the meals off.... My wife and I had dinner here during our New England road trip. This is a real pub; no separate dining room. The choices of Scottish fare is more extensive than anywhere we've been outside of Scotland. Everything we had was tasty and well prepared. Service is very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The place is really quite small, so unless... More
