Delightful old world ambiance restaurant

Very cosy and intimate restaurant in downtown Burlington with s great menu and friendly staff. A little on the pricey side but it was definitely worth it! Location and parking a little unusual but it all worked out fine after we figured it out! Dishes cooked to our specific requests including... read more

I was in Burlington on business and this restaurant was recommended to our group by another hotel guest. I had no expectation going into the restaurant. The place was small and cozy and our party of 10 was the only group in the restaurant that night - for me not the best sign. From the moment our server came to... More

I can't say enough good things about this place. I still drool thinking about the meal I had there. I am definitely not a huge meat eating person but I had to try their Filet Mignon and I was NOT disappointed. It was probably the best steak I have ever had. The restaurant itself is very small... maybe 12 tables... More

For a relatively small and remote town, the meal we had here was good beyond description. Rarely, if ever, have I had a restaurant of this size offer tasting samples for the wine choices. We settled on the Cabernet and were very happy. A special selection was an 18 oz rib eye that they split - well prepared ant tasty.... More

OK, not that hard to find but very worth the search. The bartender at The whiskey room on a previous visit had suggested I search this place out. On my next visit to Burlington for business I decided to take my son, who coincidently, attends college there out for a nice dinner. Living off campus he jumped at the opportunity... More

First of all the restaurant is small so it pays to make reservations even though the night we chose was practically empty. Steak house ambience. Extensive wine list. Food quite good. Service excellent. Prices on the high side so be prepared but if you want a special night out, this is a good choice.

We have been to the Blue Cat a number of times because of various deals. This time it was the 2 for 1 restaurant card. Thank goodness for the card. Our vodka martini's with well vodka were paltry at $11 each. Hey, maybe even add a little ice water to make the glass 1/2 full! The house/city water was warm... More

Salads are tasty; pretty presentation. Grilled salmon salad had fish that was practically still swimming...very rare. Kitchen area is not well ventilated. Service is slow. Burlington water is so-so. Great wine menu.

Went back for another visit to the Blue Cat. Had ok experiences in the past, so thought we would give it a try. It's a very small "cozy" bistro that could offer an intimate scene if the tables were not so cramped in together. The wait staff is inattentive, and in fact, could really care less that customers were in... More

Checked this place out one day after a movie or something and thought it looked like it had potential. Decided to come back a week or so later. It turned out to be very disappointing. The table was very cramped, there were little splashes of gravy on the wall, and the wait-staff were more interested in each other than in... More
