Delightful old world ambiance restaurant

Very cosy and intimate restaurant in downtown Burlington with s great menu and friendly staff. A little on the pricey side but it was definitely worth it! We have been to the Blue Cat a number of times because of various deals. This time it was the 2 for 1 restaurant card. Thank goodness for the card. Our vodka martini's with well vodka were paltry at $11 each. Hey, maybe even add a little ice water to make the glass 1/2 full! The house/city water was warm... More

Salads are tasty; pretty presentation. Grilled salmon salad had fish that was practically still swimming...very rare. Kitchen area is not well ventilated. Service is slow. Burlington water is so-so. Great wine menu.

Went back for another visit to the Blue Cat. Had ok experiences in the past, so thought we would give it a try. It's a very small "cozy" bistro that could offer an intimate scene if the tables were not so cramped in together. The wait staff is inattentive, and in fact, could really care less that customers were in... More

Checked this place out one day after a movie or something and thought it looked like it had potential. Decided to come back a week or so later. It turned out to be very disappointing. The table was very cramped, there were little splashes of gravy on the wall, and the wait-staff were more interested in each other than in... More

In a somewhat hidden location you would have to know it was there to find it. This wood paneled bar offers dimmed light dinner service and would make a great intimate setting for a date. You might have to wait to get noticed at the door as there is no clear line of sight in these close quarters. Best to... More

Casual, very nice atmosphere, but disappointed with the food. Excellent hummus put on the table, which was store bought, as told to us by the waitress. I make my own, which takes about 5 minutes. Shrimp cocktails good, again we were hinted that they may be store bought. I order the Duck Confit. When it came, it looked very nice, but... More

Somewhat difficult to find, not the easiest to park, but absolutely the best food for hundreds of miles. Small and casually sophisticated quiet atmosphere. Not the typical Burlington experience and it doesn't come cheap, but expect attentive service and good food. The menu is somewhat limited but what they do they do extremely well. A gem, tucked away in an... More

This is a steak restaurant but the hamburger (ordered medium rare) was a well done meat ball. Atmosphere was pleasant and restaurant was quaint and wood paneled. But the food was not good.

Small, intimate restaurant with good music and excellent good. Server was very attentive without being invasive and was knowledgeable about the menu. Food tasted as good as I imagined it would - it did not disappoint. Excellent selection of wines to chose from. Definitely worth a visit.
