Off the beaten path but in the heart of Burlington

An intimate setting for great steaks. Our food was delicious, service a bit slow but very friendly. Loved that it was casual but felt upscale.

This little, and I do mean small, restaurant is an absolute gem! Reservations are highly encouraged as there's limited seating and even with a reservation getting is a challenge. The tables are crowded together thus maneuvering around is a feat. How the waitresses do it is a sight to be seen. Simple menu with a good selection to please most... More

It a nice quaint and intimate restaurant tucked away down a little alley. The food was very good and the service was as well. We'll most definitely go there again.

Blue cat is a small restaurant with a superb streak menu, a good bar and knowlegable wait persons and a calm, quiet decor infused with quiet jazz music. A great value for those who want good meal. A welcome contrast to many of the more popular restaurants.

The food is great if a bit pricey, they have some of the best steaks I've had in Vermont. The waitstaff was professional and the ambiance is great for couples.

My wife and I have a lovely, romantic meal the Blue Cat. It's not easy to find this restaurant as it's inside a larger building on an alley, but it's definitely worth the trip! I particularly liked being able to sample the wines by the glass before ordering. Our first wine was excellent but we tried a sample of a... More

We took family with us to have dinner and all enjoyed it - it is a very small cafe - but you can get reservations - service was great and food was good. Lots of good wine selections.

I have been to the Blue Cat several times...great food and nice quiet atmosphere. The night we were there it was almost full with only one server, Kira who was upbeat, friendly and doing it all. Same problem I have noticed before...one wait person greeting customers, serving all the tables and tending the bar, resulting in very slow service. But... More

I was in Burlington on business and this restaurant was recommended to our group by another hotel guest. I had no expectation going into the restaurant. The place was small and cozy and our party of 10 was the only group in the restaurant that night - for me not the best sign. From the moment our server came to... More

I can't say enough good things about this place. I still drool thinking about the meal I had there. I am definitely not a huge meat eating person but I had to try their Filet Mignon and I was NOT disappointed. It was probably the best steak I have ever had. The restaurant itself is very small... maybe 12 tables... More
