We have eaten multiple times in Blue Cat and loved it...especially the rib eye steak. Although it was on the menu the last visit, we were told that there were none that night and that the New York Strip Steak was substituted. We ordered it and it was just ok. The rib eye is why we go there. I left... More

We made reservations for Xmas eve dinner. Having tried the Blue Cat several years ago on Xmas eve and not having been very pleased at the time, we thought that after a few years, things might have improved. Reservations for 5. We arrived on time and were told we would have wait because another party had stayed more than 2... More

I've been reading the reviews about this place since being in Burlington and figured this had to be a world class experience. Instead, after finally walking through the door, I found it to be a disappointment. As with most disappointments, though, perhaps it was the night, perhaps it was a circumstance that was unseen, or perhaps.... In any case, it... More

This little, and I do mean small, restaurant is an absolute gem! Reservations are highly encouraged as there's limited seating and even with a reservation getting is a challenge. The tables are crowded together thus maneuvering around is a feat. How the waitresses do it is a sight to be seen. Simple menu with a good selection to please most... More

It a nice quaint and intimate restaurant tucked away down a little alley. The food was very good and the service was as well. We'll most definitely go there again.

An intimate setting for great steaks. Our food was delicious, service a bit slow but very friendly. Loved that it was casual but felt upscale.

Blue cat is a small restaurant with a superb streak menu, a good bar and knowlegable wait persons and a calm, quiet decor infused with quiet jazz music. A great value for those who want good meal. A welcome contrast to many of the more popular restaurants.

The food is great if a bit pricey, they have some of the best steaks I've had in Vermont. The waitstaff was professional and the ambiance is great for couples.
