Poor Service, But Good Food

This was my first time ever coming to Stone Soup and I had heard good things about it. Walking in the set up was sort of confusing, and the staff did not do a good job of explaining the way things worked and made me feel stupid for even asking. The continued to treat me and my boyfriend poorly... read more

The salad and hot bars are always fresh and delicious. This is a great little local spot for lunch. This is a "family-style" where you make your own plate from a bar, then weigh and pay. It is all self-serve and you are not waited on and you clean up after yourself. The food is what I go for, not... More

Although not a vegan restaurant, the veg offerings on their menu encouraged me to try Stone Soup. Very glad I did. I ate the hummus & veg sandwich, which was delicious. Select a hot tea as you enter (at least in the winter) and take it with you to the counter to place your order. Food will be delivered to... More

If I lived near Stone Soup, I would eat there at least once a week. One could pick from great sounding soups and sandwiches or the hot bar which was a nummy array of hot options and salads. Everything was very good.

The food is ethic and wholesome and delicious. It's a fun and friendly palace, where we have eaten many times. The clientele often seem nice too.

Meet here occasionally for business and always a friendly, warm feeling from the staff. Tends to attract the trendy crowd which doesn't reflect the same temperature as the staff, but a pleasant place none-the-less. The deserts are spectacular! Soups unique and sandwiches are OK. I eat there often and would recommend...

Great variety of vegan, vegetarian and meat buffets on two separate eating occasions. Loved the preparation and ability to sample many items, tastes. Leave room for some of the deserts, cakes!

We stumbled across Zabby's while travelling through and were so impressed by the food which is mainly vegetarian, that we think it deserves to be noticed. On offer are deliciously different salads, like quinoa, couscous, pulses etc, which you help yourself to, and are all prepared by young, enthusiastic staff. If you just want a coffee and a piece of... More

Enjoyed a wonderful, healthy lunch at Stone Soup. I had to come and see the restaurant after meeting Elf in Maine. Will be back to enjoy another meal. Loved the wide choice of food, but will need to have one of the sandwiches next time.

It's not easy eating out vegan. These folks know how to do vegan. The warm, cozy atmosphere and friendly courteous staff make this place a favorite when I'm visiting Burlington. The menu is always creative and the food is fresh and the best quality, prepared with care. I am glad that my son is a freshman at UVM. I have... More
