I ate at the American Flatbread in Burlington for the first time last winter and it was just as good as their other locations. Great service, too, even though it was packed while we were there. The only thing I would add is that nothing beats the ambience of their original location in the Mad River Valley, where I eat... more

Went on a Sunday night during our trip to Burlington. It was fairly early and we were seated immediately, close by the brick oven where we could see the flatbreads being made. That made for some good viewing watching the teamwork, from one person making the crust, the next putting the ingredients on, the next cooking it in the oven,... more

Recently visited American Flatbread on a weeknight. Our part of four had more than a half hour wait to be seated. That wouldn't be a problem, but we counted 8 empty tables in the dining room. When we were finally seated, a comment was made to the host that they seemed understaffed. He started lecturing one of my companions about... more

First time to Vermont and went there for Lunch and loved it. I am from NY and service here is not the same as Burlington. In Burlington, they take the time to help you choose an item and even asked "Would you like to re-use your salad plate for your entree" (only in Vermont!) The Blue Cheese there was incredible... more

I certainly did not expect the food to be so delicious...but it was! The selection of locally grown and organic foods was so unique. I really enjoyed the option for half beers as well. Great opportunity to taste more. I would highly reccomend this restaurant to any visitors in the Burlington area. more

We visited American Flatbread whilst over from the UK and were very impressed, initially by the beer selection, and then by the flatbreads available - so so good! Particularly good veggie options, and fun too - I liked seeing the flatbreads being cooked in the wood fired oven which is in the corner of the restaurant. Finally, we were blown... more

One of the bad raps that flatbread has is that it is compared to Chicago style pizza! American Flatbread is a New England version of flatbread that is superb, and to compare it to a Western version of pizza is like comparing gelato and ice cream. The Burlington venue of AF is unique in it's passion for beer. But what... more

This place not only has great flatbread, they also have awesome brewpub beer. I come here everytime I go to Burlington. Word of advice: come early! This place is extremely popular and you can count on a long wait any day of the week. I get here at 5 and get a seat almost immediately. more

If you're expecting great NY style pizza here, look elsewhere. The crust is doughy and is overloaded with salt which encourages the consumption of their main stock-in-trade, beer. The sausage pizza we sampled was greasy and had an off-taste reminiscent of dishwashing detergent. The simple cheese pizza we also sampled was limp, salty, and exhibited the pastiness of cheap cheese... more
