I live in fear of this place closing

I come here once a month or so and visited two days in a row recently. It's always delicious. Lovely relaxed almostphere, reasonable prices, loads of great choices. Get here early and avoid the long line. We got here right after opening and were seated right away. The food is fresh and local. The entire menu is divine. Even if you have to wait a while to be seated it would be worth it. We also love to give gift cards to this place to family during the... More

My husband and I visited for brunch and the food was lovely. We arrived around 10:15am and waited about 30 minutes. By the time we were seated the wait was an hour. The food is fresh and the sweets are just right and not too overpowered with sugar. Get there early on the weekend!

Went for brunch/lunch on a Friday morning. Surprisingly packed for a Friday morning. We had a party of 8 and they were able to accommodate us within 30 minutes. All the staff were very nice and accommodating. The food was spot on! Bucket of spuds, biscuits and gravy, and the banana bread are musts! Weird Vermont rule - no alcohol... More

They make a really nice breakfast with some of the best fried potatoes I have had. The place is crowded so you might have to wait for a while.

Long wait to get a table even on a Monday but totally worth it! Biscuits and gravy! Chile rellenos!!! Coffee and beer! A great place to enjoy food and conversation. Not my first visit and definitely not my last!

Penny Cluse always has a line out the door on weekends, so be prepared to wait. They offer a variety of tasty food choices, including vegetarian options like a tofu scramble that is quite tasty. They like to use local food when possible. My only wish is that they would use cage-free eggs. There are so many local farms in... More

I love, love, love Penny Cluse Café! It is my go-to restaurant for breakfast. Only problem is that it is so popular the wait can be long – go early (before 9am) for breakfast. The breakfast burrito is great. Also you can order off the lunch menu for breakfast- in which case try the chili relleno plate for breakfast. They... More
