This is where both locals and visitors to Burlington go to get their breakfast/brunch fix on. A warm, homey space with lots of natural light that bustles with the best of them so in peak times there will be a wait, so prepare. We had the biscuits and herb gravy to start. As we passed the lower window a man... More

Don't miss the biscuits and gravy or the ginger pancakes. Great people-watching and nice waitresses make this my favorite place for breakfast in Burlington.

We went here for breakfast and while it was OK, it was nothing special. The sourdough french toast wasn't quite done enough for my taste. In general, the menu selection seemed a bit underwhelming to us.

Good place to have breakfast. The service is excellent. The food is good and fast. The prices are right. I recommend this place and for sure, I will go back to try other things

While visiting family in Burlington, we were brought to Penny Cluse for lunch. We had no idea what to expect. This is a small eatery, but we certainly found out that it is not small when it comes to portions, menu choices, and taste. We all ordered something different, and shared bites of most everything on the table. The one... More

My husband, daughter and I had breakfast here recently. Great food, fast attentive service. I had the banana bread and cream cheese with walnuts and it was a great choice. My husband and daughter had eggs and toast and raved about the freshness of the food. Would highly recommend this place. One warning, Penny Cluse is popular so prepare to... More

Don't miss a visit to the Penny Cluse Cafe if you're in Burlington. It's worth braving the (inevitable) lineup and wait. We stopped in last at 9am the Sunday before Labour Day and were still faced with what turned into an hour long wait. Don't sweat it, browse Church Street and then wander back. Had the huevos rancheros for the... More

We were four hungry people, my husband and I arrived in Burlington late morning to drop off some items for our son moving into an apartment in town; he and his girlfriend also were ready for some breakfast....I had looked on Trip Advisor and seen good reviews for Penny Cluse - turns out it was right around the corner, easy... You may have to wait a bit, but it's worth it for their diverse menu and pleasant service. Our waitress was able to steer us into trying something new that was delicious!
