We had to wait an hour to be seated but that was understandable seeing how popular they are, that we had 8 people in our party and that it was a Sunday. They were kind enough to tell us when to return to be seated so that we can spend the waiting time walking about Church street. Ordered the Penny... More

We were steered here by a local and they did good by us! A small cafe that feels cozy without being too small, homey without being rundown. The menu offered many things locally grown which is always a plus. The pancakes were fluffy and done just right. The bacon was crispy and the eggs came as ordered. They kept the... More

We were glad we listened to reviews and made the time to eat at Penny Cluse Cafe. It is a classic breakfast place with casual seating and often a line out the door. We went early and got right in. Everything was exceptional including the local sausage and just right hash browns. Calorie worthy!

This is a place in Burlington that you don't want to miss! Somewhat of a small place with upscale diner food. I got an old style turkey sandwich - sourdough, roasted turkey, sautéed spinach and onions finished with garlic mayonnaise. I got the home fries as my side. Delicious potatoes and onions pan fried to perfection. My boyfriend got the... More

The first and only breakfast place I've been to with an appetizer menu for BREAKFAST. Our table split the Bucket-o-Spuds and the Banana Bread. Yum! I had the The Bellber Combo and was stuffed until dinner! My buddy got through only a quarter of the Breakfast Burrito before he was full. Portions are HUGE, the coffee is AMAZING and the... More

This was the spot that I always took visitors for breakfast when I was at the University of Vermont. Great home-made granola. Yum!

Penny Cluse has literally shattered all my expectations for breakfast forever. We ordered the breakfast burrito, the breakfast tacos, and zucchini bread french toast. I just wish we had ordered more, even though we were so full when we left we could barely move. Every bite and ingredient is fresh beyond words - every plate that came out looked better... More

This is a terrific restaurant. We went for breakfast. It is a very short walk up the street from the Marriott by the water. There was a wait for a table for two, but were able to sit right away at the breakfast bar. Menu is extensive. Portions are large. Staff is friendly. Deco is eclectic. Homemade corn muffins are... Had a perfect breakfast this morning. The feta omlet was good. Whole wheat toast is the high end stuff. The waitresses keep the coffee coming. Next time that I am in town I will try their lunch.
