Over-cooked, poorly prepared seafood, on a par with Red Lobster or worse. Went once, never went back.

This place is a miserable dump !!! Typical college town mediocrity. Terrible food, awful service. They keep changing their name to dodge and duck but don't be fooled. Don't go there !

If you find this helpful, please click yes where it asks. ---------------------------------------------- Ambiance - has a cozy, grainy, downtown sort of feel. A bit cramped but lots of tables. Bathroom area smells terribly of mothballs. Food - food was excellent. We had apps, the figs on the cheese plate were excellent, the buffalo wings nicely done as well. Service -... More

We had dinner there after watching the beautiful sunset by the water. The food was incredible.I ordered the pan seared salmon with mashed potatoes & grilled asparagus and I was not disappointed. Omg best salmon & mashed potatoes I've had.the city hall building is across from it and you can enjoy the lit spire of the building while eating.staff was very... More

Located on Church Street in Burlington, nothing is nicer than sitting outside at the Rusty Scuffer on a sunny August day. The food was standard fare and the price fairly reasonable (burger $9 & lobster roll $15). They might have been caught a little short handed because of the beautiful weather, but we didn't mind because the weather was lovely.

In a Sunday afternoon, around 4 pm, we arrived for the first time in Burlington. After a short walk, looking for a restaurant we decided to stop at the Scuffer Steak and Ale House. I had the Pork Porter House with sweet fries and corn (17$) - deliciously cooked, tender and flavorful. My wife got the Mushroom Linguine(16$) , also... More

You have to be GOOD to stay on Church St in Burlington. Perhaps we should have been worried that they were the only place WITHOUT a wait. The Poutine was really VERY good. My son's mac and cheese was cleaned clear. Our burgers were good, if not odd - they weren't flattened very much so half the bun was uncovered.... More

We stopped at the Rusty Scuffer for a meal at 4:00 in the afternoon. Our only choice was the lunch menu; dinner isn't served until 5:00. The poutine was pretty good, though it was the first time we've ever tried poutine, so we don't have anything to compare it to. I had some sort of open-faced steak sandwich with cheese... More

Back in the day, like many BTV college students, I did the Church St. walk dozens and dozens of times. Given all those trips, one would assume I would have visited every dining establishment on the walk. Not true. It took until four years after graduating to give Scuffer Steak & Ale a shot. If I knew then what I... More

In the summer you can eat outside and "people watch" on the busy Church Street Marketplace, while in the coller months you can enjoy the cozy sports pub inside atmosphere. And year round you get a great menu selection with items nicely prepared and usually served in a timely and friendly manner. Nothing fancy, just well prepared, good tasting, and... More
