Go for the tasting menu

A brilliant value, decent little restaurant. In our three-week holiday in the States, I think this must have been one of the best value meals we had - I can't recall the price of the chef's tasting menu but I recall wondering if it was for one or two people (two, it turns out). The food was... read more

Wow, I remember the food at Single Pebble as much, much better than it was recently. The mock eel and the main beef dish were so heavily salted, that other subtle flavors were completely overpowered, and my companion and I were thirsty for hours afterward. The dumplings, on the other hand, were bland. The service was efficient and , while... More

Amazing food and a fantastic wait staff! the food is as fresh as it can be. The atmosphere if unique.. If your in the Burlington area definitely give this place a try! The only down side was we ordered their sesame beef special and it was $24.99... It was good but worth $15 at most so this place is EXPENSIVE... More

During our annual New Years trip to Burlington Vermont, we decided to try this place after reading that most of the reviews were good. We ,my wife & I arrived at 6:00 pm on Dec.30 without a reservation. What a mistake, but luckily the hostess offered a table in the corner near the entrance, which we gladly accepted. For our... If you want to praise God on Sunday morning, A Single Pebble's dim sum brunch is a good place to go. Born and raised in San Francisco, several trips to Hong Kong and Guangzhou, and ASP's dim sum is as good as anything I've ever chosen off a food trolley. Everyone does cha siu bao, shumai and ha gow -... More

This restaurant is deceiving from the outside, in a house off the beaten path. Enter and you are transformed, but the best is yet to come. The intent is to share so order with that in mind because orders are large. The food is made to order so each selection comes out separately. Start with the mock eel. Unbelievable. Everything... One of the best family Style Chinese restaurants in the area, and always excellent variety for everyone in the group. Get the mock eel, Buddha beef, Polynesian chicken, garlic broccoli and whatever the waitress recommends. Most everything is excellent, but they really excel at vegetarian dishes. As a heads up, they don't pull any punches with the soy sauce or... More

I took my team (5 of us total) to the Single Pebble for lunch and we quickly decided on the Tasting Menu. One of my colleagues was concerned it wasn't going to be enough food and was emphatically told that no-one leaves hungry after the Tasting Menu....and they were right! We had a 3 appetizer plates (including soup) as well... More

We ate at the Single Pebble last night and boy were we in for a treat! Burlington was packed out for a Winter Wonderland show and all the restaurants were booked until 8 PM. We were hoping to eat much earlier. When we called the Single Pebble they were very friendly and advised us we could sit at the bar... More
