Greeted and seated promptly. Nice kettle of jasmine tea served hot right away. Attentive service. Atmo is pleasing and unassuming, but light level was a bit low for a lunch time setting. I ordered the special Szechuan beef noodles and a Char Siu Bau (steamed then baked pork bun). Lots of lunchtime business, plenty of diners during this Tuesday. Clearly... More

I try to make it to Single Pebble several times a year for that special tasting menu because it simply is the biggest bargain around for this level of cuisine. The concept is a simple one: everyone at your table gets what the chef is preparing on the lunch menu, whether the specials of the day or the regular menu.... More

If your taste buds go to nouvelle Chinese when visiting this fair city, Single Pebble never fails to satisfy and amaze. A tad on the $$$ side. Said to be the best Chinese north of NYC. I am not qualified to second that, though this establishment is highly recommended by locals.

This restaurant confuses me somewhat. The menu looks like a Chinese menu. The food is very good. Yet, while the food looks Chinese and has the Chinese ingredients, it doesn't quite seem Chinese. I don't know how to put it into words. Maybe the physical plant leads to that feeling. The restaurant itself looks like it should be serving nouvelle... More

Order the tasting menu. It was fabulous, and we got to try dishes we wouldn't have ordered otherwise. The crispy beef with sesame seeds was a favorite, but we also liked all the dumplings, the soup, the vegetables, the swordfish dish...

We went here for dinner without reservations, but they still was able to seat us. Unfortunately, it was outside. The evening was nice so we agreed. The waiter came out and gave us the skinny on the menu. I think we have a different idea of what family style is. This is what they called their entrees. I define "family... More

It's nice that the restaurant is separated into small dining areas-service was fine-but we had soup, dumplings, and 3 main courses- each dish was brought out at separate times- the 3 main courses were not brought out at once- which was weird-the tangerine chicken was very good, the Emperor's beef had very little beef in it , but the shrimp... We over ordered, so that's my only complaint, and not a bad one. Started with potsticker style dumplings which were very good. Then had the Red Thai soup (excellent). The menu said it fed 3-4, but I would say it went a lot further than that if you start with the dumplings and then each have an entree. I think... More

We went to the restaurant while visiting my son who goes to college in Burlington. We went with his roommates and my younger son. We had a perfect table for the 8 of us, with a rotating disc in the center to allow us to share the food. We all ordered a different entrée and a few appetizers, we had... More

Went with my son and daughter-in-law while visiting them in Burlington. We had the "chef's choice" which is whatever the chef decides he would like to serve. The food just kept coming! We had a fabulous meal including 4 or 5 appetizers including mock eel, 4 entrees, desserts for all. Everything was served family style.
