Wine Dinner

Went for their wine dinner with David O'Reilly, winemaker from Owen Roe. All the food was good as usual. The wines were very good as expected. The pairing was a disappointment. The chef did not seem to care about how to pair the foods with the wines and just served whatever. Good food and... read more

We have a lot of family dinners here. The mock eel is a family favorite but everything is exquisite.

Usually the server is very helpful helping to decide how much to order for the table size, but not this time. All she kept saying is "I couldn't say" or "I have no idea". Really? because the other servers knew and were very good at assisting. The food was still good but seemed to be much more greasy than usual.... More

We stumbled upon this "pebble" without even searching for it. What a fantastic find! The tasteful ambience and the multi level lay-out of the dinning spaces added fun and interest to the dining experience. The Chinese menu was rich in vegetarian, meat, fish and poultry options. The friendly waiters and attentive servers knew the menu in detail and after sizing... More

Had lunch here yesterday with my wife and a good friend of ours and the restaurant exceeded all expectations. A Single Pebble is a small, eclectic space, tastefully decorated in deep reds and whites and punctuated by dark wood trim and stone Buddha statues. There is a small bar, but most of the seating is in the form of large,... More

I understand why this restaurant is loved by some, and considered "meh" by some. But if you've never been (or if you're in the "meh" crowd), you should try the Sunday dim sum.

This is one of the best Asian cuisine restaurants I've been to. It was recommended by several people, and Alton Brown of the Food Network calls their Mock Eel (made with Shitake mushrooms) one of the best things he's ever eaten...he is not wrong. This is not your ordinary, every day, Americanized Chinese food...this is creative, imaginative fare, created from... More

We went to this place based on the good reviews. It's near the Church Street district, However, we were a bit disappointed, by both the food and service. We ordered the lunch specials. My wife had s dish for which she was expecting to see prawn, but it turned out to be a dish with prawn sauce. My dish was... More

Our group of six had a reservation for the Sunday-only dim sum brunch, which (for us) lasted an hour and a half. Selected options are placed on a lazy susan and rotated for guests to serve themselves. Pots of black oolong tea were kept filled. The chefs adapt menu choices to stated dietary needs or preferences. The server keeps bringing... More

First I have to say that the staff was amazing, and our server was great. He explained to us that as the food is prepared it comes out when it's ready. I went with three friends and we all ordered separate dishes. We had planned on sharing and thank goodness we did! There was so much food we went home... More
