Cool place and good coffee.

I also had some nice pastries there. What I like the most is the place and atmosphere (wood, warm, cozy). No WiFi though, but that's OK. Service is very friendly.

Started here daily. Great coffee, highly recommend the Cafe con Panna, magnificently whipped cream on top of the perfect cup of espresso. Tip, be careful, cream is so thick that it can take some time for the coffee to work its way through to open a passage for drinking! (be careful not to spill)

Parking was a challenge on a busy Friday night. The service was very friendly and attentive. The coffee was good, but the barista had a very heavy hand with the flavoring. I really enjoyed the first half of my mocha, but there was so much syrup in it the bottom the rest was undrinkable. We also had a latte with... More

Prior to our Burlington departure - as brief as our visit was - we needed another dose of caffeine to keep our hearts pumping at our preferred rate. On Main Street is another little place that's seemingly as jumping as Uncommon Grounds. Walking into Muddy Waters is like entering a dimly-lit barn-like space. Roughly hewn beams and wooden walls, stained... More

We stopped in Muddy Waters to pick up some coffee. The drinks were very good. My iced latte had a good flavor and was blended just right. The atmosphere in the cafe was unique and perhaps a bit odd. It was also quite dark, so we took our drinks to go. Service was a bit slow, and the barista wasn't... More

Came in with a friend expecting a laid back coffee shop where I could do some work. Was ignored at the counter for several minutes before being nonchalantly greeted. I ordered juice and zucchini bread and planned to get coffee once I settled into work. My juice came out in a spotty glass at room temp, not too appetizing. It... More

Definitely a great place to get together with friends for a cup of coffee. There is a fair amount of seating, but it tends to get crowded, especially on weekends. They have a variety of pastries and bagels that are also available. Their coffee selection is fairly standard, but definitely flavorful.

If you like independent coffee shops, then you will adore this one. Its decorated artistically and its fun! You can sip a coffee by yourself or have a group of people. I have tried their coffee, smoothies and teas - and everything is amazing. I love to bring a book in here and just sit, sip and people watch. My... More

Great coffee! Tried a blueberry scone which was also very good. The cafe has a nice, rustic interior too. We only had takeout.

As local cafes go, Muddy Waters is the best. There is a huge back room where I think most people at the tables are meeting over coffee discussing work and college papers aided by the open internet. The coffee and food are both excellent and reasonably priced. A local favorite.
