Just off the Mall, the Farmhouse was an excellent lunch stop on a cold Monday. 13 pages of beer selection made the choice a challenge. But the two selected were local and very good. Even though the place was busy, service was swift and our meals arrived hot. The lunch menu was diverse with even a choice of samples of... More

We ate at the Farmhouse on the recommendation of the hotel desk clerk. The hotel clerk told us their claim to fame was the freshness of their food since most of it comes from local farms. My wife ordered the turkey burger ($16) and I ordered fish and chips ($22/23). Both meals were very good but I thought they were... More

Enjoyed a good meal here this past weekend. Went on a Saturday evening around 5:45 and there was a pretty long wait (over an hour). We had two young children so we decided to go to the basement and see if we could eat there instead (more of a bar atmosphere). They serve all but the main entrees in the... More

Excellent food, it is the type of menu that you simply cannot decide because everything looks good. We ordered a cheese plate to start, and each had sandwiches and burgers. The cheese plate comes with delicious crackers and bread, apple butter and cherries. They brought the wrong cheese and even though we ate it and told them it was fine, they... More

visited the Farmhouse September 2014 - had an excellent meal of fish and chips and pork with generous salads. Food was well prepared and executed. It is a very popular restaurant (as it should be) plan to go a little later in the evening and the wait is not too long. Definitely worth a visit when in Burlington.

I had four places on my list to choose from for good beer and food, but only one Friday night to experience. Farmhouse won out after reading online reviews. We were expecting to wait for a table because it was Columbus Day weekend, UV homecoming, and peak foliage in the valleys. The hostess estimated a 80 minute wait for a... More

My family and I stopped in for lunch during the Columbus Day weekend. Although it was a busy weekend, we didn't wait too long for a table. The host was very attentive and accommodating us in a booth. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. I had a burger and my husband had the roast beef sandwich both... More

Hit it at a bad weekend , alumni weekend, homecoming, etc. So the wait was long but helped to have local beers to sip while waiting. The meatloaf was good, chicken wings were nuclear (HOT) the night we went, and pork schnitzel was indeed delicious. The apple crisp cheesecake was really good. Noisy, apparently the place to go when dining... More

Another reviewer states to go to the beer garden when the restaurant's busy. We did that and were not disappointed. The bartender clearly was proud of the selection of beer, was very knowledgeable about them, great recommendations. The food was OK, nothing to remark about + or -, but a nice place just off the Church Street area.

This place was a find. Here's a tip if there's a line up front go to the back beer garden, it has seats with stand up heaters, and you can get appetizers and some very unique beers all from a staff back there that really enjoys treating people well. They were great back in the garden, inside once we were... More
