Good but ...

Great beer selection, fantastic burger, and really good Mac n cheese so lots of positives. On the other hand, a beer, burger, and bowl of cheesy noodles should not be $47 plus tip. We got in before the crowd on a Saturday night. The food is very good, the beer selection is pretty great, but... read more

Great food, relaxed atmosphere ( the downstairs has a fireplace and general seating) the food is expensive but very tasty. The selection of micro brews is impressive. The steak tartare is particularly good. The burgers are also very good and the portions are just right. If you have the money this is a good relaxed upscale spot to hand with... More

Location is good, the beer selection was great but I found the food to be good but nothing exceptional. This is a great place to go have a few pints with some friends and then maybe eat a bit. You definitely go there for the beer.

This is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of town that is a popular spot for any age. Reservations are a must, particularly on the weekend and with a larger crowd, but we have been there as a couple and found seating at the bar to be available and perfectly fine. The food is excellent....fresh produce, farm to table type... More

We had eaten here before; but it was a Saturday night at peak dining time & the only option was to eat in their "basement". After a 10 minute wait, we snatched a space at a long table & placed our orders at the bar. It was cozy & fun. The menu in the basement section is a limited, more... More

Everything was excellent about this restaurant! We had 9 people and a baby. We had a reservation and it was very smooth (didn't have to awkwardly wait around for anything). Prior to sitting, we went downstairs to their bar. Great drinks and atmosphere. They have card/board games for you to play as well! Dinner was really nice. I had one... More

My husband and I went for lunch on the recommendation of a coworker. On a Saturday around 1:30, we had approximately a 30 minute wait. We were able to grab a drink at the open bar in the dining room. I loved the atmosphere and we seemed to be in like minded company (there wasn't too many mis-behaved children). My... More

This restaurant came highly recommended. We had dinner on a Sunday evening. We had been warned that there may be a wait. However, it was only about ten minutes. Everyone was super friendly. My waitress recommended two great local VT beers. Loved them! I had the chicken with fantastic veggies and a yummy sauce. We also tried the cornbread which... More

The Farmhouse, although not inexpensive, is a very high quality meal. The fresh ingredients are always well prepared and even the burger tastes like a gourmet meal. But my favorite part of the farmhouse on a cold winter's night is the downstairs bar that just reverberates with ambiance, camaraderie and cheer. It was full one night and a Quebecois couple...
