The beer here is good if you're into German brews. The food was terrible, though. I got the fried mashed potatoes (I forget the German name) and they were so salty I couldn't eat them. A friend had fries on her plate and they equally as salty. We will only be going here for beer from now on, not for... More

I love German food and have lamented the lack of a decent German restaurant - no more! Das Bierhaus is known for its beer, but I'm not a beer drinker, so I can only say the list is varied and very impressive with drafts available in .3, .4, or .5 liters. The wine list is very short (this is a... More

I thought Das Bierhaus was one of the best restaurants in Burlington . . . but no. Went there w some biking buddies who I told the food was great. Two of us had sauerbraten which tasted like it had been left out for a day - dry & tough.

Four of us arrived on a Saturday evening and were seated immediately. We were just going to have a beer or two, but the menu caught our eye and our apparent hunger for German food. The beer selection is fantastic, offering a small, medium and large size; not sure what the smaller sizes were, but the large is a half... More

My daughter found this place. My wife daughter and I showed out without a reservation, but we got in before 6p and it got very busy (make a reservation) it is a small place and very cozy. The service was a little slow to start, but once they got to us the girl (dressed in german frau garb) was great... More

I found this place on trip advisor before our trip and really wanted some good German food. So when we got to Burlington, we had a friend meet us there. First off, the layout is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. And bright. Second, the bar only seats a few people. Even though we got seats there,... More

I have been at Das Bierhaus many times. I have used them for office and corporate parties. I will always return because; the place is always spotless, the bier is authentic German bier, the food has always been very good, the service has been friendly and professional, the restaurant has a great decor. I cannot say enough positive about this... More

A fun, pretty authentic German beer hall in downtown Burlington. The beer selection is awesome, including some typical German beer and some more obscure, delicious ones. The Aventinus was delicious but I didn't realize it was something like 12% until later. The food was also very good and fairly authentic. The currywurst was excellent and tasted just like the Berlin... More

We were so looking forward to an authentic German experience in Burlington. First when we arrived, it felt like we had just stopped by a sports bar with a few german signs on the wall, football on the big screen TV's and Raggie music playing. Outside of the waitresses in correct outfits, it didn't impress me to be an authentic... More

If you like German food, then do not miss Das Bierhaus! Tucked away at the end of Church Street in Burlington -- you definitely need to find this place. My husband had the Taste of Wurst -- 5 sausages and it was some of the best he ever ate at any German restaurant. I had the pork entre and we... More
