August First Bakery and Cafe is locally owned and has been serving great pastries, coffee, breakfast and lunch since 2009. A true local favorite, located in a bright and open renovated industrial garage. A very Vermont experience with fresh and delicious food served by a friendly staff. Everything is made from scratch! Cute bakery tucked away on a side street. Good selection of tea and coffee. Amazing baked goods. Truly one of the best blueberry muffins I have ever had. Full of fresh blueberries and so moist. It was hard to resist all of the choices. Will come back next time I am in town.

Cute place to have lunch, inside and outside tables in downtown. The ham & brie sandwich was large enough to spllt & the mushroom soup was delicious. Lots of interesting choices.

This restaurant is very casual and has tall ceilings and big, gigantic doors which they roll up in the nice weather. They have all kinds of bakery treats which I try and stay away from. They are delicious, I know I've tried many. What this place is known for are their fresh salads most with local ingredients. I love the dressing... More

I was walking by and stopped in for a cup of tea. I bought a small banana bread for my bus ride home and a pumpkin whoopie pie. the other pastries also looked excellent. Everything was delicious and the banana bread sure came in handy on the ride back to Boston. I highly recommend this bakery.

Delicious, fast, great atmosphere. Salads are a great size and come with a mini baguette. Cross contamination for allergies is tough though since it is such a fast paced place. Even so I love it there!

I wish this place was in my hometown. Alas I have to go to Burlington to get my hands on their jalapeño cheddar bread and rolls and all the other goodies they make here. My go to spot for breakfast as they have the best breakfast sandwiches in the universe. The atmosphere here between the delicious smells and the comfy... More

Southwest Breakfast sandwich hot, flavorful, with just the perfect crunch from the roll, bean salsa enough heat to wake up taste buds. ( more cheese please ...it is Vermont!) Walnut pastry: surprising texture,( not as flaky as I was expecting..more rugalah like but wonderful anyway) Back again for sure

The feelings are mixed but overall very good. We wish there was skim milk available as the Latte's especially with sweetener don't need the whole milk but it's an inconvenience and nothing more. The maple pastry was good and the maple scone was very good (but became great with butter on it). In general the food was very good and... More
