Always a Treat!

Again, a delightful experience, from the warm greeting at the door to the well prepared food. The grilled calamari appetizer was tasty, especially with the spicy, wilted bed of radicchio drizzled with balsamic vinegar. The halibut in one of the specials was delicious and was a hefty serving. Our starter was squash flower, stuffed with cream cheese, battered and deep fried, delicious, I then opted for lobster with saffron rice, right up my street, beautiful...the atomosphere was a bit cold, the service was good but the food was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

We ate their last night. After 40 years of eating out, I never returned a dish. And I eat all over the world . This place 'a food was terrible. We had the monkfish and it was so rubbery we returned it cause couldn't even cut it . The waiter offered instead the Chilean sea bass which had no taste... More

While visiting the Blue Paddle Bistro in South Hero, the bartender told me about L'amante. Close to my hotel, I struck out on this rainy evening and dropped in. They were able to seat me immediately, although they were very busy. I would recommend larger parties make a reservation. The wait staff were excellent and the food came out hot... More

This place is simply fantastic and is your best bet for an intimate dinner with a significant other, a business dinner, or any special event. Great service, outstanding food, and great atmosphere. I have been to L'Amante a number of times and it never disappoints.

Went on a Friday evening, restaurant was pretty empty--usually not a good sign! Had the squash blossom appetizer they were delicious , and came out nice and hot! We both had the penne bolognese, was good, overall a nice meal, but many other nice restaurants would not rush back .

This was our second visit to L'amante and the menu pleased us as much as the first time - The bread they serve is the best country bread served w two spreads and olive oil if requested- You must try the squash blossom stuffed w taleggio cheese - drizzled with the local honey and splash of truffle oil! It is... More

Had dinner at L'amante with friends on a Saturday night. We were walking around Burlington with no idea where to go when a passerby recommended it to us. We got there early (6 pm) and it was fairly empty, but we decided to try it. Great service. Fantastic food (the sea bass was incredible) and very reasonably priced wine. Midway... More

Visited this area in the winter (during the school year) and it was impossible to get a reservation at this very cool restaurant! We ended up sitting at the bar the first visit in February and were lucky to just walk in during our recent visit. Had an amazing dinner and a bottle of wine. Everything was perfect and delicious... Stopped by with family for dinner. The squash blossom fritters are delightfully delicious - get yourself 2 orders. All four meals were very good - no leftovers at our table. Pleasant decor, attentive waitstaff.
