After waiting 45 minutes for our reserved table, I will say that the meal was not worth the wait. Fish overlooked, pasta over salted, but most importantly, it was so loud in the main dining area! Take a seat in the bar area, much quiter. Having loved the restaurant in the past, it was a disappointment this time.

I am a regular guest and love eating in the intimate bar area. Ian is a what i look for in a bartender. Warm, professional, relaxed and knows my personal preferences. Very knowledgeable about what he is serving and how to create a custom beverage. The food is always perfect. My only wish would be for a "warmer" atmosphere in... More

Our second time eating here -liked it very much both times. The prices are no more than any other city. Great drinks and a fantastic wine list.

No complaints about the service, price or decor...what difference does it make when the food is overwhelming. Except, it was not. This is all about an attention to detail. Overall, the dishes were prepared correctly, meats cooked perfect, pasta excellent but, then finished with sloppy sauce that was comparable to Sysco sauce in a bag. As for the risotto...beyond disappointing.... More

The squash blossom fritters, the DUCK, the Strip. The service is top notch and well worth the money. We go time and again.

L'Amante isn't much to look at - pretty conservative, respectful, with little of the hipster-localvore-etc. vibe that is all the rage. But their food is among the best in the area, and more than holds it own against places like Kitchen Table and Hen of the Wood. Our prior visit about a year ago was a revelation - we popped... More

If good food is your sole objective, then you will be pleased at L'Amante. But if at a certain price point, you expect good food and ambiance, then you will find L'Amante sorely lacking. Everyone in our group of six was pleased with their entrees (I had the vegetarian lasagna which was unusually light and delicious; those who had fish... More

First time in Burlington and we picked Lamante for our nice dinner out. We started with the squash blossom fritters. Wow! So delicious! I guess they are seasonal, so ask about them when your there! Then arugula salad with apples, candied walnuts. We got the goat cheese on the side. Very fresh and crisp. Perfect to share. Then entrees....I picked... More

My husband and I just ate at the bar. Ian, the bartender, was great! He was attentive and provided a great service. The food was amazing and everyone at the bar was so nice. Great atmosphere.
