OUR FAVORITE!

Moved out of state and returned after 8 years. The food is excellent, as always, but the menu seems more limited. Gotta say we enjoyed every bite! Call first to be sure you want to eat what they are offering, because it's definitely worth the drive if you do!

I visited Ariel's twice at the beginning of this summer, and had wonderful experiences each time. The first night, I had the warm burrata that was on special, and it was fantastic. The confited tomatoes and the super fresh basil with the gooey cheese and the crunchy toast was at that point the most delicious thing I had ever eaten.... More

This review is for Ariel's Cantina not the restaurant as they were separate. (This was pointed out to me by someone from the Restaurant/Cantina I can only assume the restaurant is in the same building. The location is beautiful and close to the floating bridge. The restaurant is rustic. and the porch was nice and cool with a bit of... More

My daughter & her husband were staying near this place for their anniversary. We called the restaurant and talked with a woman. We ordered a cocktail to be presented to them from their aunt & uncle, a $30 bottle of wine from to be presented at dinner from my wife & me, and a dessert at the end from their... More

I'd like to point out that the man who wrote this review did not come to our restaurant, experience our food or service, or even ask his daughter or her fiancee if they enjoyed their time at Ariel's. the fact is that the young woman thanked us profusely, and said that she had tears in her eyes due to the... Went here with 6 people on my last night of living in Vermont and was so happy I did. From the moment we entered the door we were greeted by the owner and given a tour, mind you the place is tiny and tucked away in a remote town. We started with drinks which were amazing, I ordered a mojito... More

The location is wonderful. Off the beaten path and then some but made for an amazing afternoon. We hung out in the public space and swam in the lake next to Brookfield's floating bridge for a few hours before dinner. Friendly staff & engaging owner. Great service, and wonderful food. A fine dining experience in the middle of nowhere.

we were looking forward to the visit based on other reviews only to find Richard who "knew" more about anything than we did - no matter what the topic. When asked for a recommendation he responded that his wife was a perfect cook and everything was wonderful - which didn't help us. The menu is small and unchanging. When asked... More

I'm so sorry your experience at Arie's was not as you wished or expected it to be. We hope you do give us another chance, but first I'd like to respond to some of your comments. First, our menu changes every 3-4 weeks, based on what seasonal product our local farmers bring in. I keep it to 6-8 small plates... More

Ariels is the highlight of my Vermont visit and the place I look forward to eating at above all others. The chef is spectacular, Richard is a master with cocktails and wine and the atmosphere cozy and fun. I have never had a bad item in many, many visits. It's the best restaurant in Vermont and far surpasses anything Burlington... More

The food was delicious and a bit over-priced. We were a bit early and had a drink at the bar served by the owner. I have rarely met a more pretentious, rude man in my life. He poured me a drink with bugs in it and then proceeded to tell me it would just happen again as he was pouring... More

I'm glad you liked my food, and very sorry that you were distressed by my husband's personality. Some find him amusing, some, not so much. I hope that you come back to Ariel's and try again. Thank you for your input More

While visiting family in VT, we were taken to Ariel's. There were four of us. We ordered Salmon, lamb, steak and vegetarian. Richard recommended the wine. Everyone of us claimed that our entre was best. Having just gotten back from a Regent Seven Seas cruise, where the food and service was incredibly good, we were surprised at our reaction to... More
