Broke my heart

We realize going out on a holiday can be hit-or miss but hoped Mary's would be able to stand up to the challenge. Mary's offered a special menu for Valentine's Day - a 5 course price fixed dinner. The amuse bouche was Green Pancakes with herbed, lime butter. They were tasty. The appetizer... read more

I enjoyed my time at Mary's with a friend on Sunday. Sitting at the bar you meet very interesting people, enjoy the company of Brenda and/or Martha as mixologist, and never leave without having at least a cup of the cream of garlic soup. We enjoyed our Boyden Farms burger and my tomato basil soup. Of course, the loaf of... More

A good way to celebrate my birthday with a special evening dining out at Mary's. The food was delicious, I am a fussy eater but the scallop dish with corn and bacon hash was excellent and quite worthy of the price. Maple Creme Brulee for dessert was served in a small dish, just right after such a lovely meal. The... More

We always enjoy a dinner at Mary's. It is one of my husband's favorites because of the cream of garlic soup. This is not an easy menu for those on a diet. The food is rich in butter and cream, but good. The atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is friendly.

Went with a group of six to Mary's over Presidents Day Weekend, Beautiful setting but oh my was the food poor. No one in our group enjoyed their meal. Maybe the chef just had a bad night but the food was very very average and absolutely not worth the price.

Mary's is lovely ... the food is always good, the service is wonderful and the dining room(s) and bar are about as close a match to what you imagine a Vermont B&B dining room should be. When you come here to eat, you are always welcomed and treated as a special member of the family.

The reservation made via Open Table was seamless, the restaurant also increased the size of our party from three to four without any problem. Drinks at the bar were good, and our bartender poured with a heavy hand, always a plus. So far, so good. We waited at our table for a short while, looking over the menu, and ordered.... More

And his wife, Hostess Linda Harmon, makes every guest seem special. The food is totally Locavore and unbelievably good. I have been going there for 15+ years and never been disappointed. They also have 5 B&B Guest rooms and do Weddings.

Well, Mary's showed their entertaining expertise with their Pig Roast Palooza 30th Anniversary Celebration! Plenty of fun, food, and specialty drinks to try. The roast pork was fabulous and the andouille sausage kebobs were spectacular. Shots of garlic soup? Yes! Local wines, beers, and liquors along with Lulu's ice cream in the Banana's Foster. Dancing to the DJ with songs... More

A friend and I recently took a cooking class from Doug at the Inn and thoroughly enjoyed his expertize in local ingredients and the world-wide slow food movement. He is passionate about his ingredients and loves sharing cooking. As unpretentious as he is, there is a professional with a great deal of knowledge behind all he does. Whether it be... More
