WE MEET AGAIN....

Only a couple months ago we decided to meet at the Top of The Hill Grill on Route 5 just north of Brattleboro, VT because their website presented a fantastic menu at a great price. Order at the window, sit at the picnic tables and wait for your number to be called. This place has a pretty good variety seeming to focus on BBQ and Cajun. Cajun entrees have been mediocre in my opinion, BBQ is quite good by New England standards. (I'm not saying that to be snobbish about BBQ, just that BBQ is... More

Had great expectations but the BBQ turned out to be fake. The meats are grilled and baked, bit smoked. Absolutely NO smoke ring, black smudge from a dirty grill, and dried out meat. Ribs were tender but obviously cooked wrapped in the oven. Pulled pork was watery, probably boiled, then mixed with sauce. Chicken had NO smoke whatsoever, was dry,... More

Ouch! Seems like we totally missed the boat with you Konrad, and for that we are sorry! I do need to correct a few of your false assumptions. Our meats are not "grilled and baked", our ribs are not "obviously cooked and wrapped in the oven"' and the pulled pork is not "probably boiled, then mixed with sauce". We use Cook... More

Large portions of meats and sides for a good price: The location was packed even for a 7pm dinner. The atmosphere is outside, with a bunch of picnic tables. The ONLY thing I would change would probably be asking for the BBQ sauce on the side. It wasn't the greatest. Both me and my partner's food had so much BBQ... More

Went to Top of the Hill Grill...it was excellent. The ribs were cooked to perfection. The mac and cheese was to die for. We will be back.

this place grew out of the owners passion for grilling up some Bbq for his friends and neighbors. for many years, it expanded each summer , now there is outdoor seating looking over the river and indoor heated seating as well. they don't serve alcohol-I assume you can Byob.

Every year we can't wait til Top of the Hill opens for the season. We go often because it's not expensive and it's really good. I have never had anything that would even remotely fall into the "blah" category - I try to get something different but I have my favorites and they are SO good that it's hard to... More

Chicken enchilada and a pulled pork sandwich on a delicious medium hard roll, filled my wife and I. Excellent pulled pork. Fun, young gals serving and preparing the food. There is an inside enclosed separate building to eat, or you can enjoy your food under the tent if the weather is favorable. This is reasonable, price good value food in... More

We went here twice while on vacation since we really like BBQ food. The brisket and burnt ends were super yummy. And we liked their collard greens and mac and cheese (local grafton cheese). Also they put pulled pork in the beans ... Mmmm! Prices seemed typical if a little high for BBQ. We ate there once and got take... More

Visiting from England and had never been to a pit BBQ before so gave it a try. Staff were very helpful suggesting what we would like. Food was wholesome and plenty of it. Eating area was different, have tended to eat in restaurants while we have been here, so all a little rustic. A damp evening so did not see... More
