The little, bright red diner car is charming on the outside and luxurious on the inside. The chef obviously (you can see him the entire time) loves what he does. The wait staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. The food is amazing. The choices are out of the ordinary. The combinations of flavors are a treat and very imaginative. Everything... More

My wife & I have been going to Buckley's since Michael opened this gem. It only seemed fitting that after introducing this to family & many friends over the years that we celebrate our son's 30th birthday there. It could not have been a better evening! All was well presented & delicately prepared. Yes, it is expensive. Still, for a... More

My partner and I recently visted for dinner. It was good, but, in our opinion didn't live up to the hype. The staff were all kind and attentive and make you feel very welcome. The food, while presented beautifully, was lacking a bit. We started with a crab cake. It was delicious and gorgeous to look at. The flavors were... More

We've been here a few times over the years and every meal has been superb. Last night's was no different, and maybe up a notch. We are vegetarians but are foodies (I don't think that's oxymoronic). We've been fortunate to enjoy meals from some of the best and most creative chefs in Boston, the DC area and beyond. Michael Fuller... More

I really cannot say enough good things about TJ Buckley's. The restaurant itself is one of the cutest places I've ever eaten in. Our waitress was absolutely lovely and recited the entire menu for the evening from memory (and with a beautiful smile). The dinner was delicious. The berry shortcake I had for dessert was the best I've ever had.... More

The hanger steak is the best I've ever had. Even compared to fine dining in cities like ny, this place is exceptional. I wanted to hug the chef, but my boyfriend would have been embarrassed. A fantastic dining experience!! Thank you for a great night!

The restaurant only opens on certain day. However, since the restaurant did not have a website, there is no way to know except to call. We did not know about that when we get there and find the restaurant was close on a Thursday evening before July 4th holiday. I could not comment on the food since I never have... More

It is a tiny place. The kitchen is right next to the dining area and I'd say it seats about 20 people. It is probably in the top 5 meals I've had in my life. Two were in Brattleboro. I don't know why meals in Boston and New York city aren't comparing but it's true. How do you make mashed... More

Extraordinary food, artistic presentation, and an atmosphere that makes you feel catered to. Be sure to make a reservations! The chef is a presenter - wonderful to watch him preparing the meals and his prep chef adorning the plates with such skill! No menu needed, a savory description of each dish flows from your waitress's lips. Wherever you are seated... More

Step inside the tiny, wood paneled former diner and let the magic begin. Open kitchen allows the patrons to witness the meticulous preparation and presentation of outstanding meals. There are four appetizers, four entrees and four desserts, and it is almost impossible to make a choice-nor does it really matter, since everything is expertly done and perfectly plated. Nice selection... More
