The restaurant only opens on certain day. However, since the restaurant did not have a website, there is no way to know except to call. We did not know about that when we get there and find the restaurant was close on a Thursday evening before July 4th holiday. I could not comment on the food since I never have... More

It is a tiny place. The kitchen is right next to the dining area and I'd say it seats about 20 people. It is probably in the top 5 meals I've had in my life. Two were in Brattleboro. I don't know why meals in Boston and New York city aren't comparing but it's true. How do you make mashed... More

Extraordinary food, artistic presentation, and an atmosphere that makes you feel catered to. Be sure to make a reservations! The chef is a presenter - wonderful to watch him preparing the meals and his prep chef adorning the plates with such skill! No menu needed, a savory description of each dish flows from your waitress's lips. Wherever you are seated... More

Step inside the tiny, wood paneled former diner and let the magic begin. Open kitchen allows the patrons to witness the meticulous preparation and presentation of outstanding meals. There are four appetizers, four entrees and four desserts, and it is almost impossible to make a choice-nor does it really matter, since everything is expertly done and perfectly plated. Nice selection... More

If you've never dined here before you can't imagine the experience. Every fork is a delight to the senses. Unusual fresh baked breads. Appetizers that you cannot choose amongst. Salads that are innovative, artistic, and delicious. The main courses are always, fresh, expertly prepared, delicious, and just fill me with the joy of life every time I get a chance... More

Small, intimate, lovely setting where you can watch the Chef prepare each course before it hits your table. There is no formal dinner menu; the server reads the 4 app and 4 entree options for the night with impeccable detail. The meal itself was VERY good. The cod dish we had was well thought out - well executed and had... More

I have been several times, and have been rewarded with a wonderful mean each time. Wonderful wine parings too.

I dined there two times. First time amazing, second, almost amazing. Maybe it was what I ordered. I definitely will go back. The first time was near perfection. The setting is perfect for foodlovers. From the outside it doesn't look like much. Inside holds just a handful of tables in vintage, original diner with wood paneling that nearly whispers all... More

I made reservations for my girlfriend and I for TJ Buckley's on the second night of a long weekend getaway in Brattleboro and boy was that one of the best culinary decisions I've ever made! The diner car setting is unique, if not a tad odd, for this high end dining experience. However, given our romantic stay in town, and... More

We had read the reviews so were not actually completely surprised with the interior, the wonderful food and great service. It's romantic, intimate and relaxed yet you don't feel crowded by other diners. Our trout tart and crabcake starters were heavenly. Never had anything like that fluffy trout tart! crisp, carefully made salads arrived afterwards and then the rabbit and... More
