Description: Peter Havens provides an elegant but relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy...
Peter Havens provides an elegant but relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy chef/owner Zach Corbin's accomplished cuisine. The menu has French and Italian influences (always house-made pasta and gnocchi!) But always has Zach's own culinary flare. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the intimate setting and often enjoy dining at our bar, where we serve innovative and exciting specialty cocktails. Our wine list is eclectic and ever-changing, with an emphasis on natural wines from France, Italy, and the US. Reservations are recommended.

Excellent restaurant, fine ambiance and food.

Three of us decided to try this restaurant in Brattleboro. It represented a 45 minute drive, but it was worth it. We arrived a very few minutes early on a Saturday night and were seated immediately. We counted seats for up to 42 plus about 10 seats at the bar. Most were occupied. White table... read more

We were pleasantly surprised. There were not a lot of food choices; but everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent.

This is a comfortable stylish restaurant with a lot of good reviews. This was my first time dining there and I was not disappointed with my main dish (swordfish) or my dessert (apple tart). However, my escargot was less than expected. The pastry shell was soggy and the snails had a flavor that was off-putting...like burned garlic. Another of my... More

After seeing the reviews, expected even better. Drink special (Ginger Snap) was excellent and interesting. Bread good, but not warm. Olive oil with red pepper well done. Mussels appetizer was superb. Ribeye special was average at best. Service was great and cappuccino decaf nice ending. I'll try again....

We drove down from Manchester based on the reviews and this place did not disappoint. The restaurant was in a decent downtown Brattleboro area. Not much was open but we did find a few places to have a drink prior to the meal. The bar at the restaurant is great but small and filled with diners. We were seated late... More

We've started our vacation with this restaurant every year (we're from the Midwest). The smoked butternut maple soup was exceptional as was the rest of the dinner. We will continue to return!

We were concerned that the new chef might disappoint, but boy, were we wrong! We think it is still the best in Brattleboro. It still receives our very highest praise.

This restaurant came highly recommended by numerous friends, so we had to give it a try. It was very worth the effort. Their special was a medium rare tuna with locally grown vegetables, which was my first choice. My husband tried their duck. Both of us were thrilled with the results. Bryan was at the bar that evening and was... More

We found this one almost by accident and ended up having a great meal. Possibly some of the best duck pate ever! Meals were well presented; the chef even foraged his own Chick and Hen mushrooms! Our waitress was a delight, as was the rest of the wait staff. The filet had a great Demi glaze. All was delicious from... More

Still wonderful, the best restaurant in Brattleboro, and my personal favorite anywhere. About one year under new ownership, still terrific food and service.
