Popped in with the family for a quick bite on way back home from Stowe. I got an excellent cup of hazelnut joe, nice being able to self serve for top off. Son's chili was very good, super hearty. We travel back to Brattleboro twice a month and we make it to the Works every time. The food is great the location is prime and the atmosphere is so relaxed that it makes it hard to leave! We will be back!!!

Friendliness and service is where the Works succeeds. The coffee is great, the food is adequate and very quickly prepared. The owner and staff are community minded and very accommodating ... they even stay open an hour or so extra for my organization's monthly or bi-monthly meeting, without charging extra! They have one of the best store fronts along Main... More

My wife and I have been to The Works lots of times, and love the place. It has a great atmosphere, great coffee and a good menu. It also offers free WiFi. My only gripe with The Works us - I would like to see their menu vary periodically. I have been a regular customer for the past 2 years... More

I love The Works. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Food quality is superb and always freshly made. Prices are reasonable. Free Wifi is also available and is a good place if you want a coffee while working online. My only wish is that they would change their menu. I frequent The Works regularly and I tend to eat the same... More

I brought some out of town relatives here for lunch and it was very tasty. The place seems constantly busy. The food is very fresh with delicious breads and other ingredients. You stand in line to place your order and then go through the line to pay. There is plenty of staff to handle the crowds and lots of tables... More

We stayed at the Latchis Hotel, and rather than have their continental breakfast, we decided to go to The Works Bakery Cafe, especially since they open early (6AM) and it looked very cute inside. My husband and i both got egg sandwiches- advertised as scrambled eggs. I got mine with cheddar. Being in Vermont, i was hoping for a very... More

Hi Cin4513, I am sorry we were out of Hot Apple Cider on a cool Fall morning. I will speak with the staff and try to make sure this does not happen again. More

My family and I were looking forward to having lunch here but menu was limited and my kids only wanted a brownie which was just ok. My ham and cheddar had way too much honey mustard and my sweet potato chipotle soup was flavorless. Service was not good and staff seemed confused.
