Good bagel sandwiches

Been several times and tend to get the same thing, the sliced smoked salmon sandwich. This tends to be good and tasty, especially with the everything bagel. However, last time the everything bagel formula seemed off and the texture of the bagel was weird and not soft like it usually is. We also... read more

A friend suggested meeting here for lunch. The appearance of the restaurant when walking past it on Main street had done nothing to draw me in in the past. When you walk thru the door you order at the counter from a menu posted above it.Once you order and pay for the meal, you wait until you are called that... More

My husband and I were exploring the shops on historic Main St in Brattleboro and stopped into The Works for lunch. The choices offered were varied and interesting.. We got soup and sandwiches and were not disappointed. Everything was very good... Hot chocolate was a nice touch! The setting is funky and cool with mismatched tables and they actually had... More

I had a really good vegan-friendly sandwich and the atmosphere was really cool. I liked what they were doing in the design and mission of the restaurant.

This was the second time my husband and I stopped here for a quick lunch while vinyl and antique shopping in Brattleboro. Both visits were good, efficient friendly staff, delicious, inexpensive, healthy food. We will definitely stop in next time we are in town!

Tried and true formula. Bagels and coffee. Both fine. Salad at lunch was fine. Atmosphere and staff were fine. Everything about the place was average to above average. Have seen it all many times before. Could be any city anywhere. But having said this, sometimes average is just what the Doctor ordered.

The atmosphere is relaxed, the coffee is great and the food is great. They have a childs section and we had a little birthday brunch. We love it here!

Ordered two sandwiches and the attendant forgot mine. I waited for about 10 minutes before I said something. He didn't even apologize. The sandwiches were not good and the place was dirty. Better off getting a sandwich from fridge case at a gas station.

I had a toasted garlic bagel with smoked salmon, scallion cream chese, onion & tomato. Super tasty! The barley-veg soup was pretty good too! Service was prompt and pleasant. ...facilities were clean. A+
