Nice platters and sandwiches

We get the breakfast platters for our business meetings at work and they are always well prepared and presentable. Sandwiches at lunch time are also delicious and well made. Definitely enough for the money.

I had to get some work done one recent morning in Brattleboro, and I had a great temporary home at the works bakery cafe. For breakfast I had a cheese bagel with salmon spread, and for lunch a BLT with specially made garlic mayo. The service was especially friendly, the food was very good and the atmosphere was laid back.... More

Delicious food, great atmosphere, plenty of seating available. Very busy, but staff is friendly, cheerful, and competent.

We were looking for a quick and easy breakfast. The Works fit the bill perfectly. Great bagels. Had a basil tomato bagel with egg, spinach and provolone - nice way to start the day. Juices, teas, & coffee all available. Mostly indoor seating, with a couple of outdoor sidewalk tables. Pleasant place for a simple yet delicious breakfast.

I really enjoyed breakfast here. I am low-carb, and they did everything they could to accommodate me, even coming up with a fat bomb! I had a breakfast bowl without bread, and it was really good. The only thing I would recommend is that if you like crispy bacon you need to ask for it. I had an iced coffee... More

I must admit up front we did not eat here. We tried. The list of food looked very appealing - to an adult. We were there at noon on a Friday and many people were in line. Menu reminded me of a McAlister Deli. But nowhere could I find a list of kid-friendly food. I asked for a kid's menu... More

We were sorry to see your review. Like many cafes—different from restaurants—we don't have a specific menu for children; however, we have lots of kid-friendly items. In fact, parents bring their children to our cafes specifically for our kid-sized tables and chairs, even window seats in some of our kids' areas. While our staff certainly missed the mark by not... there is always something new to try off their bakery menu or a seasonal coffee drink to enjoy whenever we have the time to stop in and relax for awhile when shopping "downtown" in brattleboro, vermont...the staff is always pleasant and the eatery is clean and comfortable--with several types of seating options and free wifi--only problem is choosing just what... Stopped here for lunch. I got a BLT on sour dough. All fresh ingredients and it was delicious. I am posting below a picture of my sandwich.

Popped in with the family for a quick bite on way back home from Stowe. I got an excellent cup of hazelnut joe, nice being able to self serve for top off. Son's chili was very good, super hearty. Daughter loved her thick, fresh mango smoothie. Also grabbed some bagels which were generously filled w cream cheese. The place was... More
