We picked up great freshly made sandwiches and popped across the river to a marina to eat riverside on some picnic tables. The sandwiches were tasty and made with good ingredients and not overstuffed, better than thick layers of tasteless cold-cuts.

Read a few recommendations and put this on our list to stop by. First of all it is adorable inside and they have so many great dishes, pastries, wines, jams, sauces..it is crazy. I wish the had a place to sit and have lunch or a snack. Unfortunately, it is all to go. We just looked around and grabbed dessert... More

After the long drive from home to VT we got off the highway in Brattleboro and there to greet us was the famous VT Country Deli. Heard a lot about this place and how great it is and sure as heck, the raters were on the dime. Many selections, home prepared and cooked - everything from soup to nuts -... More

Vermont country deli was a happy coincidence since we had headed to Brattleboro to check out a Mexican restaurant in town. At first glance it looks no different than the dozens of other roadside general stores/sandwich shops that Vermont has to offer, wrong. The first thing you see when you enter are pizza sized, homemade cookies and you sort of... More

What a fun place for both locals and tourists! Lots of variety in commercially made food products and their own homemade prepared food. I'm so glad we stopped and will plan on it again the next time we're in the area. An easy drive from Exit 2 off I-91, but do be careful backing out of the parking area into... More

If you are transient or local, great place to eat!! Only a couple hundred feet from I-91. Fast. Great variety from healthy to clog-your-arteries food and desserts. Recently expanded parking lot (careful backing into busy street), with sufficient parking now. More expensive than chains, but WELL WORTH IT. We locals eat here a lot too, not just the "flat-landers".

We stopped as we were arriving late to our bed and breakfast in Brattleboro. Plenty of gluten free bread and gluten free options. The Boursin cheese and mushroom tart was great! Cheese, crackers, fruit, sandwiches and wine (purchased elsewhere), and we did not have to leave our cost inn.

If you are driving down I-91 and your hungry, exit 2 will get you a great place for a quick sandwhich or other deli food. I always try something new and I've never been disappointed. The molasses cookies are amazing as well!
