We stopped in Brattleboro on the way to Saratoga with a vague idea of visiting the art museum. Amy's was one of the few places that seemed to be open for lunch. Glad we stopped in. The best BLT in years with real summer tomatoes, flavorful lettuce, and great bread. A fine cup of coffee, a view of the hillside... More

We were parking our hire car in Brattleboro, and a complete stranger welcomed us as she'd seen out out of state car registration. She started chatting to us and said we must go to Amy's for lunch. She seemed like a genuine person, so we followed her advice and are pleased we did! It's a nice atmosphere with art in... More

The best breads, pastries, salads, sandwiches. A pleasant place to sit, drink your coffee, and look out the windows at the green hillside with peeks at the river. What more could you want?

I was excited when I saw the "Certificate of Excellence" sticket on their front door, but now I think it should be revoked. When we went in, it was fairly busy, and as we were ordering our food the woman at the cash register was extremely rude and snobby, answering our questions with a serious attitude. When we went into... More

We knew before we went that we would not be able to have a full breakfast here, but did expect a quiche option, or at least be able to order a sandwich. But no sandwiches or quiche. Only choice along with baked goods was a hard boiled egg, so we had that and pastries. They were all good, as was... More

This is a very comfortable place to eat alone and strike up a conversation with staff or other patrons. Nice intelligent people come here; and work here. It's that" isn't it good to be alive" attitude. And then there is the coffee; and the spinach quiche; the chicken, apple, chutney sandwich; and if you dare the pastries. The view out... More

We eat here everytime we visit Brattleboro. The food is always at a consistently high level. Everything is fresh. You can either get a nice view out back or sit by the street and people watch.

Amy's never fails to satisfy w one of their signature sandwiches on great bakery breads. We had the chicken on country white w Vermont cheddar, smoked bacon, cranberry chutney, avocado slices and fresh leaf lettuce. The only thing we miss is our favorite turkey sandwich which is no longer on the menu. Seating in the front window, on the sidewalk... More

Great place for lunch-seats out front on the sidewalk, lovely room overlooking the river out back...salads, sandwiches, and cakes/cookies/sweets which may be illegal in some jurisdictions they are so good....
