Hooray for Bart's Ice Cream

Stopped here for lunch on several previous occasions. They have good selection of hot and cold sandwiches. Very good. But do not forget dessert. This most recent visit was just for some Bart's Ice Cream - a wonderful local (MA) ice cream. Glad to see they are remaining open for business, and... read more

Nice little bakery cafe on the main street of Brattleboro. Really enjoyed my pastry and lemonade in the back room with a view of the Connecticut River. Amy's was about to close but there was such an outcry that they decided t stay open and are looking for someone to take over.

I have been going to Amy's Bakery for lunch ever since it opened and won't go anywhere else in Brattleboro. Her soups, sandwiches, salads, and sweets are outstanding. Her pizza by the slice is unsurpassed, the cheeses are delicious, crust as good as her baguettes. Much of her offerings are locally sourced, so fresh. I regret to say that the... More

We stop here always on our way through Brattleboro about 3 or 4 times a year---we enjoy the ambience of the 60's with the stunning river view and the friendly staff. The tea and pastries are great. We enjoy meandering up and down Main St and popping in for some quiet time and comfortable atmosphere.

We love going to Amy's on the weekend for brunch. The baked goods are fantastic, and the soups are very good. I love the iced tea, the almond horns (gluten free!), the art on the walls, the incredible view of the Connecticut River and Mt Wantastiquet and the sidewalk seating in warmer months. Danny Devito was there recently, too! Nice... More

Had a great lunch at Amy's again today. The staff are cheery regardless of how busy it is, the salads are HUGE and fresh, and the bread is delicious. It's great to get a seat and look out at the river.

Wonderful pastries, fantastic breads and great lunch dishes. The regular & special sandwiches are always fresh & delicious, as are the soups and salads. But my favorite menu item has to be the caramel latte! Yum!

Amy's bakes a mean multigrain bread, and great cakes, pies, and pastries, but what I go for is a lunch of a cup of one of the two soups of the day plus a sandwich - usually the hummus and avocado on multigrain, but the meat based sandwiches look good too. Small, crowded on weekends seating area overlooking the CT.... More

This is where she shops for home made baked goods that taste almost as good as mine. And sometimes even better. She especially loves Amy's banana bread.
