Great help but a tad slow and food thus did not arrive as hot as expected. mussels, however, were outstanding and piping hot.

As soon as you enter, your nose is romanced by enticing smells of Chef Robert's secrets! His herb garden greets you outside before you go in or eat out on the patio at an umbrellaed table. The asiago cheese cup salad is a favorite with his seafood stew with a glass or two of wine (if you have a driver!)... More

We stopped in without a reservation, early, before 5:30 and were immediately seated outside per our request. We'd been once before several years ago, and the meal was just as good as we remembered. The spinach salad in a cheese cup and the haddock entree were both very good. The service was good until they got busy at about 6:30,... More

Great meal with friends. Portions were generous and the food was prepared well. This was a welcome surprise in a small Vermont town.

We are fairly regular patrons of Cafe Provence and the food is superb. The Wait Staff is usually fantastic. But, the last two visits had us waiting an inordinately long interval between ordering and serving. I like a leisurely dinner as much as anyone, especially when dining with friends. But last night's visit had us waiting just over an hour... More

Nice variety of seasonal food. Had the beet salad and cucumber soup and both were superb. Guests has 2 chicken dishes that were well pepared and served pleasingly. most diners were outside on the patio but plenty of inside seating. Extensive wine and beer list. Bread was good and a spinach salad in a cheese like cage was cute and... More

Stopped in for lunch recently. I had the seafood stew, which is assorted seafood & fish on saffron risotto with lobster &tarragon broth. Perfect seasoning in the broth. Crisp garlic toast for dipping. I was face down in the bowl to get the last drop!! The atmosphere is pleasant and you can sit inside or outside. The only downside was... More

Stopped for a late lunch on a beautiful summer afternoon. Seated us on the patio as we wanted. Very complete lunch menu most of what sounded like fresh light summer fare. Both our meals were just that, fresh, light and excellently prepared and presented. From seeing other diners meals, they too were experiencing the same. Service might have been a... More
