Excellent service and delicious food. We arrived late about 8:30 and felt lucky to find any place even open for dinner, but were pleasantly surprised to find Cafe Provence was more than just open, it was outstanding. We will absolutely return.

This is a destination restaurant in the charming town of Brandon. Fabulous desserts! The chef is one of the best in the state. I've eaten here many times, for lunch, brunch and for dinner and have never had a disappointing meal. The wine list is above average for Vermont. Just down the street there's a bakery/gift shop/wine store operated by... More

Was part of a large family dinner celebration on a busy Saturday night. The food was first-class, and the service very good (particularly given the place was packed with many others also celebrating in large groups!). Nice selection of wines by the glass reasonably priced, Appetizers were excellent - onion soup, mussels, salads. etc. Entrees were excellent, whether they were... More

Really great food, affordably priced, imaginatively prepared, beautifully presented. Seven visits during my stay -- just wonderful.

We have a camp on a nearby lake and we were trying to make this one of our "go to" places as the food is very good and it has a nice atmosphere but the last two visits were a disappointment as far as service and it appeared to be due to being short staffed - to the point on... More

Visited Brandon last night (Friday) on my way up to Burlington. Heard about Cafe Provence and I entered what I thought was the main entrance. I ended up at the bar down stairs (Center Street Bar). Great rustic yet charming feeling. Immediately greeted by both bar tenders/cooks/dishwashers. I sat at the bar and ordered a draft. The bartender was very... More

I happened upon the Cafe Provence by accident, only to find out the next day that it is widely considered "one of the best restaurants" in Vermont. The food was excellent and the staff attentive.

I have to tell you, we travel from Northfield to Lake Hortonia a lot during the spring, summer and fall. This is my number one place to eat. I can not tell you how much I enjoy eating at the Cafe. I always ask for a far booth to be away from any traffic area, and love the seat selection,... More
