Spent two nights recently in Brandon, Vermont. Went to Cattails Restaurant the first night and then returned again the following evening. The food was very, very good. As was the service. Our favorites: the ribs, the nachos and the maple ice cream pie!

We wanted a light dinner after a day of traveling and this hit the spot. They also have drink and beer specials. The service was excellent.

Ate here twice last week! The lobster mac and cheese was just fabulous - should have ordered a small salad and taken half home.

A very nice varied & creative menu: I loved the eggplant parm... Nice, friendly service; moderate prices.

I will forget the last meal we had here (which was really off, pretty gross and not the norm), but in general, Cattail's is becoming one of our favorite spots for a quick, casual dinner at the bar (far better than Mister Ups and Two Brothers in Middlebury). The salads are huge and delicious, sandwiches are tasty, and the wings... More

As we pulled into the lot at Cattails, we'd wondered if we'd made a good choice. The restaurant's "curb appeal" is lacking, as is its interior decor. We looked around and there were only 2 other tables being used. But first impressions can be deceiving. We ended up glad that we'd stayed. It was an oppressively hot day, so we... More

Was in the area to visit some friends and they recommended we go to Cattails for breakfast. The menu was basic but covered all the bases you would expect out of breakfast. The restaurant has a log cabin feel to it. From ordering off the menu it wasn't clear my menu came with home fries, which made me order some.... More

BD and I wandered the back roads of VT yesterday looking for VT wineries... We found a lovely one in Jacksonville that just so happened was hosting a teste of chocolate. As we continued north and decided it was time for dinner and found ourselved to be in Brandon VT. We stopped at a place call CATTAILS and were very... More

This restaurant with bar has the ambience of a neighborhood eatery. The food is good, with lots of choices, and offered at a good value. Service is friendly and efficient.
