Casual great lunch and dinner fare

A variety of items to please any pallet. Very good clam chowder, burgers and daily specials go well with the Vermont craft beer choices. Good service and a takeout cremee window for that dessert on the way home.

We love to go there for breakfast, and we go every Sunday when at home. My husband loves the sausage and biscuits when on special. H also loves the hash omlet because of the fresh hash they make. I love the veggie Benedict. The atmosphere is great and nice to be able to eat on the deck. T wait staff... More

A perfect pit stop if you find yourself driving between Rutland & middlebury on rte 7. Spinach salad w grilled scallops, YUM! Sandwiches w chipotle sauce? Definitely. Homemade beef stew? So comforting. We have enjoyed many enjoyable family meals here over the past 6 yrs. But I finally succumbed to the delights of the dessert menu. Maple mud pie, 4... More

Was an acceptable small restaurant. Very home-y and everyone was friendly. There is a limited selection though if you only want a chicken dinner. And if you get anything with chicken they add a bunch of vegetables almost as if they wanted to fill the plate but not give anything of substance. Had chicken parmesean and it was about a... More

We go here frequently and always have a great meal! :) lots to choose from on the menu for adults and children. Pleased that the macaroni and cheese for kids is homemade and not Kraft! A big plus!! Desserts to die for. No complaints on this restaurant.

Ive gone here a few times and I really do love their food. Especially their fish tacos AND their BBQ chicken mac & cheese..HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The only drawback is the place can be a bit small, don't really care for much for the seating lay out although there's now an enclosed deck? Otherwise, good beer, ok waitresses.

I couldn't believe the waitress wasn't even embarrassed when bringing 4 plates of way overcooked food from the fryer, with a smile! This is the second time this summer for us! It won't happen again! Not even an apology from Management!

It has been about six years since we have been to Cattails. The service and food were great but I felt the main dinning area was a little cramped. Tables are too close together. It would have been a much more enjoyable experience had there not been a screaming toddler in the table next to us. That being said, I... More
