We've had a chance to enjoy a few more meals at Pangaea (lounge side) and tried a few new things on the menu, including the amazing beet salad! Their crab cakes were delicious too - not too "breading filled" - just tangy crab meat! The service was great and the staff goes out of their way to make everyone feel... More

We enjoyed a nice dinner on the fine dining side of the restaurant. Drinks first: mom and I enjoyed the Hildene Merlot. Very different than traditional Merlots, but v nice. Dad and brother were happy with their traditional cocktails. We shared two starters, the Boar Wellington and a Venison dish. Both were tender and flavorful. Nicely presented. Two of us... More

We had family visiting for Thanksgiving and took them here because it was near their hotel. Wish we hadn't. Like most people, we ate in the lounge because the formal dining room is so over-priced. The menu looks great--very eclectic. But execution was a big disappointment. One of us had a cashew-crusted mahi mahi. The fish looked like it had... More

The Pangaea has 2 sides 1 side fine dinning the 2nd side the lounge. We went to the fine dinning side wed. 9/18/13 and were seated by our waiter George. We were not that hungry so we just got appetizers and a bottle of wine. First came out a free taste of mahi mahi that was very very good. I... More

We ate at Pangaea this past Saturday evening and it was absolutely delightful. There was no shrimp with pappardelle or hake on the menu. (Perhaps the previous reviewer was at the Lounge?) George's service was perfect - attentive without being intrusive, but it was the food that was absolutely exquisite. We began with a split of Veuve Clicquot and then... More

Went on Sat. Night for dinner with my husband and 9 year old. Odd place. Menu has no real consistency, and no children's options. I got shrimp with pappardelle. Would have been good except they added balsamic vinegar for no apparent reason, which spoiled the taste. My husband had the Hake special, which looked beautiful, but had odd texture and... More

Great Place with awesome staff! The outdoor seating is beautiful and very relaxing! The spicy thai peanut sauce is delicious and a big favorite.

6 of us went on a Sunday to celebrate a graduation. We had reservations, and were seated within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. It took nearly a half hour to get drinks - just iced tea and water - and that was difficult enough that we skipped the appetizers and just ordered dinner. 90 minutes or so later -... More

Living locally in Bennington, Vermont, I try to support the local economy. When an out of state friend suggested meeting at Pangaea, I had a pit in my stomach knowing what type of place this was. Been there, done that. Our drink order came within a reasonable time, we enjoyed conversation and catching up. We ordered an appetizer to start,... More

We showed up late on a Sunday night, without a reservation, and took the last high top table for three, in a corner by the bar, on the lounge side. The server was pleasant and engaging. The crab cakes were very good. Very interesting nectarine sorbet for dessert. Crowd seemed to include locals, which is always a good sign.
